Maybe it would be good to give all AT guns a dig in option to help resist against tank fire.

Specifics of the idea, you all contribute...

Camo does nothing after the first shot, i mean "dig in" similar to the ability "hull down" but for AT guns.

It would be great if the doctrinal "hull down" ability for tanks would also work on AT guns. Then people would finally use it. Of course the bonuses would have to be adjusted accordingly.

Nice idea. Should take a few seconds to dig in. And another few to dig out. So there is a risk vs. Reward deal. +1

Aren't AT guns in general pretty resistant to tank fire?

And aren't all crew weapons pretty much invulnerable to destruction as long as they are manned anyways?

Nice idea somehow. Maybe reward it with a slightly higher Firespeed or something and in Return it turns into an emplacement, that has a healthbar and if it down to zero the gun and the emplacement are dead

they would have a very limited arc of fire too, so may not even unbalanced

This would be a great idea but maybe it would become simcity because of it. It should be a lot weaker then emplacements like super pak and the 17 pounder. I like the idea tho.

Idea sounds nice. But mechanics wise i see a problem.

If we make tank shells do less dmg to 'dug in' ATGs wont that also affect mortar shells?

Increase some offensive stats ? ( hit chance, rof, pen ?), increase resistance, but cant rotate while dig is active, that would be so nice.

+1. They need a form of digging in feature.

What would this change? An AT gun looking at a contested area is already hard to dislodge. AT guns already have a "setup" and "packup" time to reward flanking. Tanks that will get scared off by dig in, are already scared off by its normal setup, and tanks that can kill AT guns, like centaur, will still be able to kill them. Besides, it might marginalize the use of the pak 43 and the 17-lber.

Are they now? That's lame. It used to punish players who didn't repair their weapons.

Aye but they'll still be destroyed if weapon health is 0 and the weapon gets decrewed.
