again i do believe that most of the players arent history fans at all but prefer an non-scifi non-modern warfare type of rts. relic never mentioned anything about non-german axis factions and i think they have their reasons (they might not know what we want balance wise, but i do think they got a pretty good understanding of what players would buy). i dont understand how i am asinine or lacking understanding of the what players want. how do you know im wrong and youre right, despite the fact that you yourself would be willing to buy aforementioned factions? i doubt many american/asian players could name a single axis faction other than germans/japan. ofc this is not true for anyone on here, but then again most of us are more interested in the matter than your average coh2 player
p.s. only time will tell who is right/wrong, i guess. my money is on commanders for the existing factions, that might represent some of the forces allied with the germans, but no non-german standalone faction
cheers dave
I don't remember if I said that most people would buy new factions but I think that adding new factions that were never portrayed in RTS (or in some) like the Italians (Codename Panzers II, Theater of War and RUSE) could be very interesting because it's really something new from the usual big 4 that obviously must be in WW2 games (USSR, USA, UK and Germany). I don't know and I don't want to spam here but I think you could read on CoH2 official forum the ideas for a possible Italian faction, leaving aside what you think about allies of Germany in WW2 I think that both my idea and Grittle's idea are very suitable for CoH2 (in my honest opinion) my idea is for an Italian army in 1943 while Grittle's is a mixed German-Italian army of the Italian campaign. I really didn't want to be a spammer here but I think that both ideas are ok for CoH2, a different play style as an axis faction and without using fictional weapons but Italian stuffs that I think few know because I think that there's much disinformation about Italians in WW2.
I respect what you think but I hope you'll change your ideas about it. If no, doesn't mind but I hope you'll have a wider perspective about other factions, if you already haven't it.
Cheers Lorenzo
