I think, for that price, there is no requaired buff in stats but I think, it would be enough to reduce veterancy requirements by 20% or 15% and make it a bit cheaper in MP (to 280/270 or even 250). What do you think about it?

Something needs to be done. Maybe just swap it out for the 34/85 since according to Soviet records, they built thousands more of the 34/85 than they did 34/76. Then you can go to the 2 34/85 commanders and change the 34/85 unlock into a 6 or 7 CP T34/76. This way SU gets a stock main line battle tank and can have the option of getting an early 34/76 but only doctrinally. You would have to tweak the cost a little bit since it would come so early but it is so underwhelming in it's current state that it might be fine as is. It needs to have a period of time to get vetted up anyway before the rest of the big boys come in or it will be even more hopeless.

Not a bad idea. I'd be sorry to see the /76 go but the /85 is much more convincing as a T4 tank. Calling in /76's kinda like Osttruppen might well work.

I just wonder why T34/76 cannot be just a bit more expensive (300/90; 260/100; or something like thar) and be back in T3?
We would have pure AT (SU76), pure AI (T70), AA/AI (Quad) and medicore all-rounder T34/76 while T4 would be for better pure AT (SU85), better AI (Katy) and better all-rounder T34-85

I do appreciate t34s being cheap, but I wish they were 70 fuel, and the reload reduced back to like 5.5 seconds or whatever it was. Would be perfect then.

T34s should be cheap tanks.

Because of the way the T-34/76 is portrayed in the game, I find it a personal irritation when lumbering pieces of scrapmetal IRL like Churchills and the comedic Cromwell are so over the top IMBA.

But that's how it is. Prima facie it appears Relic couldn't balance a set of scales.

T-34/76 needs to be put back in T3 and made as cheap as proverbial chips inc lower fuel with lower pop cap occupancy so they can be churned out for en masse numerical superiority which is how they need to be deployed in accordance with their current relative game inferiority. Total 100 pop cap will still limit balance and contain SPAM or abuse to no more than is available to UKF and USF units already.

But that presumes Relic should or do care what COH2 players think, and are competent? More truthfully, Relic are simply compliant with SEGA's managerial instructions.

As long as COH2's audience keeps buying DLC regardless with a fanboi base of see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil figurative trio of monkeys who are inclined to obsequious fawning over being slopped up half a bowl weavil infested gruel that isn't fit to be given away as if they were being served haute cusine, what incentive is there for SEGA/Relic to alter a profitable model? Only overwhelming rejection and refusal to pay hitting SEGA's financial bottom line would invoke a willingness to alter the behaviour. Those of you who keep buying their value adding DLC at SRP are actually the ones responsible for its continuation and this mess. SEGA and Relic are just laughing at you/us.

SEGA don't care anything about this game other than its income stream aka profitability, nor Relic either other than ensuring they accomplish that for SEGA thus needed in being of continued service to remain employed. It's important to remember Relic's employees serve Relic, not us, and Relic in turn serves SEGA, not us. Observe behaviour, action and results, not what is advertised or said unless that latter matches the former.

It's so apparent to anyone with the IQ of an ant that the IMBA in COH2's initial release, subsequent module DLC and PFA in each subsequent Premium commander DLC release was always and over two years in, remains deliberate.

I would like to see the veterancy 1 capture ability be released and put in the British grenade ability. Either the thrown like the Churchill or the stream of grenades. This would help with the issue of being a rather poor anti-infantry tank to a good flanking tank that can threaten careless weapon teams. Definitely a boost that would help out.

might actually. it would certainly be able to flank and you could blitz and then ram as a last ditch snare to catch retreating heavies.

Seconding doctrinal T34/76, that would be awesome.

I would love to see it played more as the Osttruppen of tanks. Make it a unique thing where you can get 2 for 550MP/150F or, if one dares to dream, three for 720MP/200F. Getting a single 34/76 never solved anything except chasing off light vehicles and providing XP to Volksgrenadiers.

The idea is, if you give a bonus/incentive to get more (through cheapness via "opportunity cost" of getting two or even three at once) you suddenly provide them a role - cheap, spammable armour that ALWAYS comes in packs (thematically appropriate), which in numbers can theoretically threaten other medium and heavy armour.

In this arrangement you could have them a call-in at 9CPs not tied to tech (consider them the Soviet variant of a "heavy" call-in), or, if you want them kept non-doctrinal, the double / triple tanks could now freely be moved to T3 as a buildable "bundle", because their arrival time would be gated by the high-ish fuel cost of the entire group.

Tl;dr make T34/76s the Zerglings of tanks. Build from T3 (or doctrinal call-in), in packs 2 or even 3 at once at a discount, keep the crappy stats. Fits theme, gives them a role, avoids homogenization, makes for hilarious gameplay.

+1, and I still like see a ram remake and first vet change.

Why do people want the T-34 to come from T3? That would be a terrible idea, and there would be no incentive to go for T4 because T3 has everything else already.

If 76 would come to t3, then 85 should be doctrinal and should be put it in t4. Amen

At this point, even trip wire flare would bring more usefulness-at least it would be able to kill some models without the need to use threads.

The T-34/76 isn't really deserving of being a T4 tank. Its expensive and crappy.

The SU-85 is pretty necessary as the SU and T-34/85 could basically be a step up cheap zerg tank. Skipping on T-4 means not having your best AT and using outdated tanks against panthers.

Not sure what you're getting at. Relic under THQ was the same as it was under SEGA.

I think you meant non-doctrinal. Nevertheless I would not like to see the T-34 in T3, it's too soon. T-34/76 traded with T-34/85 maybe, but T3 now is not the T3 of the past, the T-34 no longer has a place in it.

Vet 1: The TC opens the hatch and pops up with a PPSh, acting as a make-shift Top MG. Turret target acquisition is impaired (aim time increased) while active :P

Molotovs should be tossed every so often as well and if you upgraded AT Grenades, they throw those as well at nearby tanks. In fact, just make a conscript pop out of the top hatch and have him do conscript things including building of sandbags on the tank and even flare mines for a very weird defense option! :P
