Read the patch notes again, it says a nerf to the Ost Sniper's RoF gain on Vet 2 and 3.


It honestly doesnt change much. A vet 0 ostheer sniper is more than enough to punish brits hard.

It still fires faster than the soviet mortar. Soviet mortar takes 10.625 seconds (7.5 reload/2.125 windup/1.0 winddown) to fire a round while the Wher mortar will take 8 (4.0 reload/2.0 windup/2.0 winddown) seconds after the patch. Wher mortar has a bit more scatter than the Sov mortar to make up for this though (10 vs 8).

Ostheer mortar and Soviet mortar are both awful now. Why couldn't they just buff Soviet mortar, why do they find the idea of good artillery to be so awful?

I agree with this, it's a shame they'd rather make the Mortars more passive roles than active roles.

There are changes to AoE weapons with the British forces as well i thought. Lets just see how it goes first. I'd rather have this than Turbo mortars everywhere.

Now M-42 AT gun and Soviet Industry commander (and arguably other commanders that suck) are whats left needed to be adjusted for Soviets.

Ost mortar may have been overnerfed but it definitely needed some kind of toning down. I'd probably be happier with a 3-3.5 instead of 4s reload tho. The change was probably to help Brits survive a bit better since double ost mortar with other player getting snipers was loldeadbrits.

We wanted to give OKW a soft building counter options. This should help OKW deal against garrisoned enemies. (Need an icon)
Grenade replaced with incendiary grenade

This might have the single biggest effect on reducing volk blobs. As someone pointed out, grenades were a huge part of their offensive ability. We can probably expect to see a lot more alternative OKW infantry on the field now, especially with their reduced reinforcement costs.

And I tell you what! the shreck blobs will be even bigger now, cause the new Molotoves the volks have is not gonna be used same way as u could toss nades like before and all the ammo is gonna go into building up those shreck blobs
