ostheer vs super early vehicles

in 1v1 ostheer encounters very early infantry cleaner early allied vehicles. Really almost imposible to counter them. especialy t70 which pak rarely hit fast and wipes while retreating easily. Give accuracy more penalty moving vehicles to retreating units or let ostheer have pak cheaper, faster something. maybe other options.

Soviet goes scout car > gets countered by a 222 > 222 gets countered by t70 > T70 gets countered by a stug.

USF goes M20 > gets countered by a 222 > 222 gets countered by AAHT/Stuart > AAHT/Stuart gets countered by pak/stug.

Though Quad needs nerfing imo.

They have free access to vehicle snares. How are they any worse then the other factions? Not to mention schreck pgrens, teller mines, and the pak. If anything wher is the best able to defend themselves if they are behind on fuel.

is stug not much for t70 ?

in team games, yes ostheer have everything to defend itself but in 1v1 its not that perfect.

you can 2 shot a quad with a pak, 1 burst incid ammo mg42 it, 2 faust it, 2 shrek it, 2 puma shot it, 2 stug shot it, or just place mines

if you play your 222 super passive and support it even that can kill a quad

People need to read the stats before throwing stuff out there.

Here are some of the damage source models for non-small arms (no Brits included) that you can follow. I probably missed some, got something mixed up, but for reference:

640 damage source(s): Sturmtiger Rocket, B-4
400 Damage sources: Tellers/M8 AT Mines
320 damage sources: Elephant, Jagdtiger, Pak 43
300 damage sources: Current ML-20
240 damage sources: King Tiger, ISU-152 HE/AT rounds, KV-2(?)
200 damage sources: Jacksons
160 damage sources: Regular ATGs, majority of tank guns, 105mm artillery howies, EFA non-heavy TDs/Assault guns, Jagdpanzer, Brummmbar, 105mm Sherman, Sherman HE, Pack Howitzer HEAT
120 damage sources: Shreks, non-vetted Pumas, SU-76
100 damage sources: Majority of snares, M8 HMC
80 damage sources: Stuarts, Bazookas, M-45 ATG(?), PIV Command tank, non-vetted Lieg, Pack Howitzer, majority of grenades, mortars, KV-8 45mm
60 damage sources: M8 Greyhound
40 damage sources: T-70, Panzerfusilier AT Grenade(lol), PTRS(vs vehicles), AA HT 40mm, Ostwind, Stuart shell shock, S-Mines
20 damage sources: 222 autocannon, 251 flak HT
16 damage non-small arms sources: Luchs

or if you play a really tight map you cant really set up anything like a pak and a 222 gets torn apart

An early vehicle can be rough, but if you keep enough munitions for a faust (and have them unlocked/available) and plan to have a pak by ~9 minutes you are usually in a good position. A fast T70 or Stuart (which I have seen by 6 minutes) is a big investment, and your opponent will be hurting badly if you kill it right away. The quad is probably too strong at the moment, but the same stuff works against it.

A lot of the units you mentioned have been tweaked multiple times to make them less deadly against retreating squads, so I would not expect changes to them (except for the quad). If it is giving you a lot of trouble, you should probably try the Strategy forums.

He said free access, as in you get it with your normal progression during the matcch and do not have to pay extra for it like Soviets or the vet requirement for USF or the need to call upon a call-in unit for OKW. He didn't say using the ability was free ;)

thanks for that reply mate, it needs nice playing to faust especially fast t70 which has larger sight. I think i more need to ambush or placing early mines better.

I think Soviet T3 building should be a little more expensive.


if that t4 should be cheaper as well.

the quad is def OP atm... it either needs set up time, or only upgradable once you hit t4...

Regardless of T3 or its price, T4 should be more... "Appealing". Either by buffing the price or the units.

Umm T70 comes out at around 7 mins, Ostheer Stug comes out at 12 mins. That's alot of raping time for the T70 given the Ostheer can even hold decent map control until he can tech a Stug.
-I agree it's tough to deal with allied light vehicles early game.
-Quick micro, snares, and pak40 is all there is atm.
