US commander on the right could have same equipment as Colonel James E. Rudder of the 2nd Rangers Battalion.

Like seriously, who's going to go another commander than Pershing? Even if all the other abilities are bad?

Um a lot of people. A calliope is another tool that the USF would majorly benefit from (i.e. blob killing arty; priest is great against static stuff but its no substitute for a Katyusha in blob killing). Additionally, if these doctrines lack significant early game punch, they could easily be outmuscled by other doctrines ESPECIALLY in 1v1s.

What will happen is when it comes out everyone will use it for a few weeks then the novelty wears off and actual balance determines how popular the doctrine is.

The US commander on the left must be some kind of defence US commander during the last German offensive in West, because he is unshaved and has an infantry uniform. That is during the Operation Nordwind, because in one of the pictures you can see a Flammpanzer 38 Hetzer that was used in that specific German assault. During the same time Luftwaffe launched the Operation Bodenplatte, which support the assumption that the OKW commander is an Luftwaffe officer.

Google a picture of "Destroyed P-47s Operation Bodenplatte". That explains the "p-47 recon runs and anti infantry strafes".

If I try to guess, the two commanders on the eastern front must be a Sovjet armored commander during the 1945 "East Prussian offensive" and Battle of Berlin. The Ostheer commander is a commander that tries defend against the advancing Sovjet armies, maybe a urban defence commander.

It's funny cuz they would have to shoot at their own units, cuz USF players are the biggest blobers now.

And about sound files, there are sound files for wiberlwind, ba 64 armoured car, staghound and nashorn

These have been in the game for a while. There are all kinds of sounds related to things that do not have art assets, such as SdKfz 234/1 and 234/4, M3 75mm GMC, and M1917. You can find all of these in Sound.sga of the base game.

It is always best to check the art archives for confirmation of new units (ArtGermanEF.sga, ArtSovietEF.sga, etc).

There used to be partially converted CoH1 models for the SdKfz 234/1, 234/2, and Wirbelwind. But, they were removed at some point, maybe around the release of the Western Front Armies. I would not be surprised if some of the sounds are that old.

Exactly, otherwise Soviet and Wehr players would just use IS-2/ Tiger commanders every time. You don't need heavies every game to achieve victory, I don't know why people have the idea stuck in their heads.

I hope new Soviet commanders will have the shock troops, they are perfect for my style of play - very compact but very effective army. Conscripts sucks.

Assuming they were waiting to get Brits out the door, I can see these coming out in the next month or so.

If I have assumed correctly that Relic are planning a Sovjet tank commander for the 1945 assault on Berlin, then they could give us following things (I looked on the pictures from that offensive):
1) 280 mm mortar M1939 (Br-5)
2) IS-2 or ISU-152 call in tank
3) Infantry can take a ride on the tank during the assault

Probably just a winter skin of the Pershing but...

Just to add more hype, could it also be an IS1?
