I think the MG is a little too strong especially as it comes out early enough now to be rushed into important buildings, so a minor nerf would be great - maybe even longer build time?, not with double nerf or buff relic balance though; a little suppression reduction, thoughts?

No i would leave it but rather give USF more counter options in early game, maybe a mortar or flamethrowers! Dont think its such a big issue for sovs!

Don't touch suppression.
Just nerf long range damage back to level 2 patches ago (when it was buffed to compensate its crappy suppression).
- Too good at killing retreating squads
- Shouldn't AoE suppress AND kill (supporting squads should do killing)

I would disagree, When someone can rush one of those into a garrison over looking fuel in a 2v2 for example it is gg and there is nothing you can do because by the time grenades are ready as usf they would be supporting infantry or another mg

You won't get close enough, and if you need a second squad to flank, then the MG42 doesn't need suppression nerf anyway.

It's a machine gun. It has one job. It suppresses. It does it's job.

If it's too powerful, increase the price. But for the love of god do not take away it's primary reason to exist.

Well then increase the build time further because it is getting into very difficult to flank spots too fast
