And much more expensive ;).

Get rid of the focus side ability on the Su-85, and decrease the cost to 310 mp and 100 fuel and things should be much better. There's no reason for it to cost more than a T-34/76 (its a turretless tank-destroyer, intended to be cheap, easy to produce after all).

Horrible idea, a good example is the jagdtiger costing more than a king in game when it wasnt the case. Or even panthers, which only costed 10% more to produce than a panzer in terms of price yet in game they are significantly more expensive.

Simply put this kind of logic can't just simply be put on one unit arbitrarily, but not others. The su85 performs well for its cost which is actually quite cheap. You all just feel underwhelmed because unlike the germans the soviets don't have some more expensive better tank to use. So they use the cheaper tanks. Its like transitioning from panzer 4s to panthers. But soviets stay on panzer4s.

Whats the key difference? Su85s are better vs armor than panzer4s, and still pose a threat to heavy vehicles. Considering 125 fuel what do you want?

That's a good idea. And slightly increasing it's rotation speed. (around 10% maybe)

The thing majorly needs an acceleration buff. Getting this thing to maneuver tight maps is like sitting around waiting for continental drift.

The one on Langres, right? I think it's the Su-85 that rendered the KT ineffective, not the other way around. But to be fair Lenny had the advantage and he would have won anyway, with or without the Su-85.

That was on Kholodny Winter.

I don't really think SU-85 need any love.

It demands correct play style but other than that the unit is fine. With some Vet it can take on heavy tanks with the exception of Elephant and OKW equivalent (never used this one so don't remember the name).

It's a lot harder to use than it looks. The constant stuns it gets makes microing it very important because you can get swarmed and killed if you get unlucky via RNG. It's also extremely slow.

I love it.

An incentive is needed to continue being used as TD, everyone just wait till heavys.

The Su-85, Su-76, ISU 152,JgdPz4,JgdTiger,Elephant and Stug variants all have inherent mobility penalties derived from the fact that they are all case-mates. We all know that they pivot on the spot as apposed to having a freely moving turret to track and engage units, this is widely accepted. However, using any of the said vehicles in snow, deep-snow and mud is an outright painful experience.

The substrates mention appear to reduce the max speed and/or acceleration (don't quote me on this, knowledgeable peeps can fill me in on this?) which only exacerbates the already slow acceleration of the case-mates, and thus the tank is likely to perform poorly in combat.

The map on which a battle takes place can therefore ultimately defer disadvantages to players which RELY on case-mates to do the heavy lifting (su-85, the only soviet non-doctrinal AT mobile platform)

I propose that the debuff inherited from terrain should be removed from case-mates globally, so their performance can be regulated

Its frontal armor was 180, very good reverse and rotation speed basically took away the drawbacks of a turretless TD. Only counter was flanking panthers.

He's talking about when the game first came out and the SU-85 was a god tank, not its current stats.

Perhaps you should try reading comments correctly, as well as the actual context behind my post.

No. In 1v1 it's a pointless unit. It can be good for your 4v4 tank spam feast but in 1v1 it's slow, sluggish and only deals AT damage. I would only consider it if my opponent went SU-85, ISU-152 only.
In 1v1 if you play your cards right you can beat Jadgtiger with single T-34-76.

What is supporting your Jadgtiger? An allied player without armor support is a allied player who will lose a game.

EDIT: You have never even used it lol, why am I saying this.

SU85 kicks axis balls - 2 of those combined with ATnadish cons, ZIS and maybe a Katy should let you dominate the battlefield with relative ease - just never leave them unsupported - AT nades and mines are their best friends and 85's feel really happy and loved with those around.

All love they need is your love!
