But they do have mines. And m20 mine is pretty damn good.
They are players who are not even building m20...

American AT mines are already awesome. A line of the cheap ones or a single heavy one, both are brutal to vehicles.Have you ever actually used the light ones? They are terrible.

They take a shit ton of micro plant properly and have little to no effect.

Lawdy you could not be more wrong.
Lie them in a straight line in a direction you expect an enemy tank to barrel forwards. Once they drive over five or six (the length it takes to brake even if they're paying careful attention) you'll normally immobilize the enemy tank.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uH8ld-vYQzw has a great showing of them. Game is a little meh in general, but you see the light AT mines put to good use

the point of cheap mines is not that you can make a line of them; it's that you can cover a wide area.

so basically for 30mun worth of them they almost work as well as a standard 30mun mine but are doctrinal and do not work against infantry.

No, for 30 muni and good placement they work substantially better than standard mines.
Light engine damage is your norm on 30 muni of standard, heavy if you're lucky. A cluster of light AT will regularly immobilize. Massive, massive difference.

anyway, i have been very happy with those mines. sure, a pain to use them relatively but, for 20 muni, not bad at all.

you cant fault the game because of new players not building the best scout vehicle in the game..

This is how game would play out. Usf pushes Ost of map or denies ost to 2 - 3 sectors. Usf spams 30 muni mines every where like soviets. Ost is then forced into buying 2 sweepers plus has to keep all troops together which favours usf. 222 would also be more restricted than it already is since 30 muni mine would kill it.
I can see the logic in this suggestion as it was a key feature to Coh1 Usf that worked well and was balanced but in Coh2 it would be a disaster.

If anyone needs mines it would have to be OKW but not quite because they don't have them, but mainly for the fact you can barely afford to plant any due to the muni decrease.

I think that US deserves normal mines like all the other Factions, especially when they don't have good late game.

Doctrinal mines can be special in someway but putting mines in a tier which means to AT gun is damn broken.
Mines can be unlocked for example when Major is ready, or Lt+Cpt.
