Arty is so not the meta right now, exception is B4. I have only seen Stephen build ML-20 and that is about it.

And costing 100 menpower more then what? There is not a single unit in game that costs 500mp.


The LefH costs 500 mp, can't move and does 160 damage if it hits the unit directly so it's like firing an AT gun directly into the air. It's AoE Radius is 7.5, the AoE radius of the 120mm mortar is 6. The 120mm mortar does 100 damage.

So what's better, a unit that literally does only 60 more damage with a much higher chance to miss, while also costing a buttfuck load of MP in a MP starved faction and can't move. Or a unit that costs 100 MP less, can move and reposition at the battle lines flow, and 1 shot any any Ostheer squad in the game reliably.

Iv used it since the game came out, then it was nerfed, and now I don't waste my time with it because Ostheer ain't exactly kings of the MP float to build it. It also comes in absolute garbage commanders.

Yeah, the Priest is a lot of fun, especially when you can move it close enough to the front that it's scatter is quite good and the creeping line barrage is great on maps like Eddlefucked.

It's 4v4. It's not a problem to shine in 4v4. If unit is amazing in 4v4 but useless in 1v1 then we have design problem. Priest is amazing in teamgames but in 1v1 is almost useless.

Good in 2's 3's and 4's but useless in ones is common to many units across every faction in the game.

More of an example of retarded faction design really.

deals 200 dmh
mistake two
120mm deals 80 dmg, just as any other mortar, that was changed EONS ago
mistake three

And you're comparing apples to oranges-mistake four.

Ah It does cost 600, but it doesn't do 200 damage, and the 120mm mortar does 100.

And no, I'm comparing indirect fire units to indirect fire units. The 120mm can move, retreat, and has far more squad wipe potential due to not having a long cool down after each barrage and facing smaller squad sizes.

Well refer to my signature. 4v4 is a lolmode where if both teams are equal, 4 Ost all with German Infantry could still win it.

A team of 4 Ostheer is going to lose in the first 6 minutes of the game if they are facing more than a single USF opponent of equal skill no matter what doctrine you pick.

Just because MG42 isn't insta force retreat doesn't mean it's not effective at stalling USF in team games.
