I think at the very least, the okw base flak guns need to not shoot at aircraft if possible or be made into mg bunkers if not until they can figure out something else.

Seems like ive seen it significantly alter a competetitive game on the propagandacast ONCE and that was wayy before WFA and OKW flak.
Ive probably had one of my P47's or Major recon runs land on someones entire blob before...Idk.

And why do plane crashes DEAL SO MUCH DAMAGE?
A b4 shell does 640 damage. (To put it into perspective panzer IV has 640 health, vet 0 panther has 800, tiger has 1040 and king tiger has 1280)
a plane crash does 750 damage..... Why does a plane do more damage than a 203mm artillery shell?
Just make planes crash always offmap. And make recon runs unable to be shot down.

1300h and I have never seen plane crash in any of my games.

This also has the added benefit of developing a meta game around air flight paths as the other player would actually have to think about where the flight paths might be and position his ostwind/whatever accordingly to shoot it down.
Right now when you call in air, planes just come from random directions and pass over the targeted area. so planes getting shot down and crashing is just totally random in all categories. there could be so much more interesting air meta game.

i think the issue is the other way around. plane crashes arent integrated ENOUGH into the game. all aircraft abilities need to include choosing the flight path of the plane, That way you can try to avoid your plane flying over where you think AA might be. Also if the plane crashes youd know that itd crash somewhere along the flight path.

What you say makes sense, but that does not solve the problem. First of all, you don't have to option to "not fire" at the enemy, when you bring an Ostwind or AAHT, the fire at the enemy aircraft. Second of all, the issue still remains. You get punished for killing an enemy unit. I don't wanna exaggerate, but I have lost A LOT of units because of that.
So what you suggest is cool and needed, but that does not fix this problem.

3. Blizzard instant crashes any loitering plane

Honestly, on a lot of videos where I see a plane crash happen, its on a blob. When thats the case I think, plane crashes are a nice feature.
On the other side, when I see on the videos here they crash into tanks repairing, Panthers, Stuka its complete bullshit.
It's very satisfying to see blobs go down like that, but losing infantry is more punishing for non blobbing players IMO. Combined arms have more upkeep, so re building your 2-3 infantry squad for map control is gonna be so hard.

I wouldn't say remove it altogether I think planes crashing is nice feature BUT it would be nice to know where the plane intends on crashing (perhaps a map ping to inform you) so if you are quick enough (or paying enough attention) you are able to attempt to move your unit out of the designated zone. As this is what would typically happen in the real world.
I'm wondering if there's a way they could make it so that it always steers away from any units on the ground, or alternatively (but not as fun) the plane glides off-map before crashing. Lastly and perhaps the best option: make the plane explode once it's about 10 meters off the ground, it'll blow into pieces that'll rain on the earth looking really cool (but since physics objects are cosmetic and just bounce around harmlessly, it won't hurt anyone!).
Side-Note: I miss the Panzerknackers from CoH1 and how when they crashed, they just nose-dived into the ground with the wreckage just like

Permanently BannedI have had games where planes from a teammate landed on my Is2s and killed a few cons with it.
Calling it a skill plane is pretty lame, call it an RNG plane. Have seen so many instances where it actually hit its own troops or own tanks.
Don't think it should be removed or nerfed, just tweak it a bit so it doesn't home in on the nearest clump of units xd
Remember guys, it is still better then a V1 to be remembered from VCOH xd
