المناورات يلقي الحلقة رقم -- THE WARGAME CAST

Dear CoH Fans and infidels,

As a Christmas present to us in the decadent West, our Arab friends over at the المناورات يلقي الحلقة رقم (translated roughly as The Wargame Cast) YouTube channel have offered us their own take on a CoH2 cast; offering feedback, analysis and general good humour over a 1v1 replay using my very own Mod 227.

Though they are not new to casting in general (some of you may remember their much-criticized Let's Play using their own 'Occupied Gaza' mod for Prison Architect, both of which have since been removed) they are new to the CoH franchise, and this is their first cast so far. I do not know the name of the caster, but he does provide an e-mail address on their YouTube channel if anyone should wish to contact him for general advice, or to submit replays for casting.

The combatants are myself and nachocheese, though I apologise for the video quality. The original uncompressed file was 100 GB (!) but they managed to get it down to about 700 MB in the end. We were simply chosen by lottery to play a small game to test their primitive, sand-clogged software, but I am sure the likes of CieZ, Siberian and Nullist can appear in future casts so as to draw in a larger, more knowledgeable audience.

Ah, been waiting for these guys to expand into CoH2. Better than Dane, that's for sure. That guy has no clue about balance. But what The Wargame Caster had to say in the video was enlightening and exposes the real issues of the game with no silly fanboyism.

as an avid HOMELAND watcher and C&C generals player I know everything about the middle east and thus greatly appreciate this video

It is some kind of march and says things about "Oh young people come on and fight for your beliefs", something like that. (Arabic military marches are mostly cool because of the structure of the language). I know only a little bit of Arabic and beside the intro music, I can't understand a single word. Is this a kind of joke? Because it seems that the guy is just mumbling nonsense.

PS: That play style though, Like 10 Cons squads.

That's not cultural sensitivity. I'm not an Arab but I know a little bit of Arabic, and he either speaks in a weird accent/dialect or he speaks nonsense. Listen to the intro music for example, it makes sense even if you don't know anything about Arabic. We need an Arab to confirm though.

The reactions to this are even better than I'd anticipated. The fact there are people here who are even considering this to be in actual Arabic.

Has anyone watched it through? The best stuff is in the cast, obviously.

I hope not. That was certainly not the intent.

I think it's more a 'this looks vaguely offensive on the surface, so it must be, so I'll act offended without watching' thread, but I've been wrong before.

It's supposed to be a bit of fun to watch over the Holidays. I am told a lot of effort went into making it.

We need an Arab to confirm though.

Well Im not an arab but I know arabics and that cast is about totally bullshit,nonsense humbling.
