I think usf should get a doctrine unit with shotguns. or a new weapon rack that give u the option to upgrade shottys. itll be great for the game and could help balance a little bit

I think that would be really cool. They'd basically be flamethrowers in a way since they give great short range firepower, except they won't explode on you. The Modern Combat mod for the first game had shotguns and I think they did it really well, so Relic no doubt could as well.

You have thompson paras or veichle crews and assault engis for. I think with all this close quater damage, USF does not need another short range weapon.

I'd rather Shotguns as an alternative upgrade for Assault Engineers.

Its a cool idea but not really needed. Either way I don't see how it could be different to SMGs in terms of a close range DPS role without making it gimmicky.

To the extent of my knowledge, the US did not use shotguns in the ETO in WW2...even though they did saw limited use in WW1.
In the Pacific, different story btw. The USMC employed shotguns fairly regularly, and I guess so did the Army.

modern combat (mod for coh1)had a shotgun it was the shit! but i think overtime it became a flamethrower more or less.

that said also the Americans didn't use shotguns in Europe front, they used them in the Pacific though. ill just reiterate that even though it was already said.

And all Soviets engineers should be able to build Tesla Coil Turrets and all conscripts get Bear Mounts! As an upgrade of course.
