I play with an FX-6300 CPU, Radeon 7790 GPU, 4GB RAM and I don't notice any meaningful difference between the graphics settings FPS-wise, aside from when I set the texture details to anything but medium the load times become unbearably long. In the range of 5+ minutes. Once in game, FPS is fine, however. I have 1GB of VRAM on this graphics card, so I suppose it could be that. I play with everything maxed except the texture details. |
Give them a new unit to use so I don't have to see Riflemen blobs every bloody time. |
Well the units curse all the time so it just seems a little odd that they censor chat
Not at the other user they don't. It's not that weird when they are aiming for an E-Sport and trying to add more social aspects to the game.
I would have liked this and a mute option so I wouldn't have to listen to all the preteens and teens rage. |
Who cares? So don't curse. |
One wiped my Grenadier squad once. Ugh. My next door neighbour probably thought I had lost my mind at that point.
When you look at them as area control weapons first and foremost, they still seem pretty useful. |
Given that buildings can be taken down by small arms as well?
I'm not entirely convinced.
Might help against stuka one shooting it thou.
Only very weak buildings can be taken down by small arms fire. If someone sets up a FHQ in a tool shed, it's the player's fault. |
The Soviets - the real ones, fighting during WWII - found the SU-85's gun had trouble penetrating Axis armour, so it looks like Relic has this spot on. It's historically accurate, but doesn't make for good gameplay.
Replace the SU-85 with the SU-100, and problems solved. True, the SU-100 only really saw action in 1945, but just getting rid of the SU-85 for it would solve player complaints.

I have the fear that they will just over-buff USF Riflemen from the very start because of all the complaints, leading to even stronger Riflemen blobs early game, leading to yet more patches need to fix this. |
I actually haven't found the Soviet T1 opening that difficult as Ostheer, yet. I find so long as I inflict losses on the other player and stay competitive (and don't allow any wipes), I win due to the weak mid-late game of the Soviet player.
I tend to have a BO of: Gren, Gren, MG42, Gren, Mortar. When I use Elite Troops Doctrine, I vet my 3rd Gren. I support my MG42 with a Gren, and more times than not, due to the Soviet player needing to play aggressive with this build, they run their M5 right into MG fire and then a panzerfaust. Without an M5 or two, the build is helpess. |
Just had a game where the crew just stood around when I repeatedly ordered them to barrage fire an SP. I had to manually move them somewhere else before they went back to working. |
