from playing with it, i can guess it's meant as a cheap quick counter to light vehicles from russians. but they need to update the tool tips then because the "increased effectiveness against infantry" is false

Ya, and Clowncar Killer. But only he should be a mortar, MG, Sniper killer with normal MG... at the moment the MG gun is useless. I hope relic pushes the MG again (CoH1 Style!)

TL;DR 2cm serves a niche purpose, MG34 default weapon is the way to go.

I think that the German scout car only needs a slight health increase to maybe 240, and manpower increase to 160. 25 fuel is quite expensive investment for early game, and at late game making unvetted SCs are useless.

But the up-gunned auto cannon is still inexplicably garbage against infantry. But it manages killing M3's and sometimes T-70's.

The upgun seems worth getting only when it reaches 2 veterancy, which is fine because it's pretty decent against T70/t34.

Permanently BannedYour testimony is anecdotal, and probably most of those shots missed, though they looked like hits. SU85s penetration automatically punches through vet 2 AC.
On the other hand, anecdotally, Ive seen SU85s oneshot v1 ACs. Hows that for comparison?

I also saw fatalsaint take out an su85 with one, if you are clever about it or if he over extends.

Haha, the 222 is awesome now. I played three games today and won all three due to scout cars. Try them with the 10% range increase bulletin! I always built 2 of them with the 20mm upgrade and it was well worth it. They reach vet 3 so fast that all my 222s reached vet 3. They are awesome versus infantry and now can finish off the T-70 (without being ineffective versus anything else as before). You can dominate early game with them - even guards in clown cars aren´t a counter as you can kill the CC some seconds faster.

Yup, AC are the rape now. They can kill (or almost) clown cars in one full burst. They are pretty much untouchable by anything except Guards.
