i had this same idea but not with that much firepower lol
my idea is for relic to do 1 of 3 things:
60 munitions for 1 g43 rifle or
90 munitions for 2 g43 rifles or
90 munitions for 1 g43 rifle and cold immunity
the idea is to keep volks a long range unit while giving okw some anti-inf munitions upgrades. the g43 is best option here since you already have stg44 with sturmpios and mgs with obers. |
further update in case anyone else has this issue
turns out my evga precision was overriding my hotkeys, so ctrl 1 would switch to profile 1 on evga instead of assigning control groups ingame. contacted support and there's no way to disable this "feature" in current version of precision. so using msi afterburner now with no issues. hope this helps anyone that needs it |
since latest patch i cannot assign any control groups. ctrl does work to show player names on units but that's it.
making me a better player, but really annoying in crazy fights

If all heavy tank callins were 2 CP more, then Ostheer teching would be very balanced.
The problem is that Soviets can do T1 and T2, and hold for call ins, getting better tanks at cheaper fuel. At 20 mins an ISU can be called in.
By the time Ostheer can get a P4 and a panther, the soviets will already have an ISU a few mins earlier easily...
That's the main problem. Increasing the CP of heavy tank call ins is the best way to balance it imo. Saving up for heavy tanks should be more risky and longer to get. It benefits all factions to just increase heavy tank CP by 2. 20 minute heavy tanks is bad.
Ostheer also maybe needs its sniper, 250 and ostruppen looked at, but they are minor issues.
THIS RIGHT HERE RELIC! i personally think t4 for germans is really good and balanced, but why would i get that when i could call in a freaking tiger. especially when i know i'm about to face heavy armor from my opponent, the tiger is going to help me more than a panther, even though i might be able to find good uses for all the t4 units |
Not all units are meant to scale to the end of the game. The US light vehicles certainly don't scale at all, why should the Kubel? It's useful when you get it, but don't expect it to be useful twenty minutes in.
this. especially when its a no fuel cost vehicle that acts as a fast, mobile mg.
also, support it with other units instead of expecting it to do amazing by itself all the time. |
alot of soviets really rely on call-ins to skip tech. this only lets you "skip" t2 with the mg and at gun, both of which are not as good as the normal counterpart.
no tanks, no arty, no conscript upgrades, light at gun is so small caliber its almost there just to eat popcap
these are the general opinions of the community that i know of. personally, i think it has a place in the roster for team games and certain situations. i wouldnt be picking it super often though |

If it influences balance at all then I wouldn't like it. If it doesn't then I don't give a shit.
meh you could still play the game as is and not have to give a shit. but having it in game would be nice imo. for me, it becomes a meaningless grind to play even 3-5 games a day (though war spoils being tweaked would help this, until i have all the ones i want). hence why i'd like something like a bigger war actually being affected |
So here's the idea: Would like to see a map of Europe and have automatches (both players and ai) affect the control of territory. Obviously ai matches would have much less influence on the territory than pvp battles.
I'd like to see this because it would give casual players like me something to care about other than ladders. Plus it might even be fun for the serious gamers.
Please vote and let me know if this is a good idea or not. I personally would think this would cause people to play more games and keep people online more. Plus, relic is hinting at adding new armies with more expansions and this would create a very dynamic battleground of WWII
edit: small note, if they did put this in with resources being the thing territory control influences; they'd have to make it a separate queue/matchmaking system. otherwise this screws with players who don't care too much |
