OKW on Semoisky

This is a question rather than argument.

Does OKW have an advantage on Semoisky? I feel like their base trucks can cover most of the important points on this map in a way they usually can't. And there are plenty of buildings to put them behind so they're even a bit less vulnerable than usual. On the other hand, perhaps I'm just missing something.

I guess I just can't see why anyone would choose OKW over Wehr for this map.

In case you are wondering, yes, I did just lose against a double OKW team on this map :p. I have, however, always won on this map as OKW. Not many times of either case, and I am certainly no expert. Hence why I thought to ask.

Commence bickering with ideological undertones :p

OKW has the same advantage Brits had on Semois: forward base of operations in key areas on the map.

The other 3 factions have to continually retreat and make their way back to the fight whereas OKW can setup north or centre and dig in.

As Soviets you definitely want a commander with incendiary barrage ability as it absolutely rapes OKW when they try to retreat to their staging ground.

As USF...you want to have priests.

Thanks for the advice! Forgot to mention this, but inbalanced or not, I definitely am also looking for tips on how to fight OKW forward bases on this map.

Those both sound like good counters for later on, but priests and incendiary barrage don't arrive until somewhat late. It just seems a long time to fight an uphill better on the critical center area of the map.

The advantage of Brit in semois in the almost unbreakable and undeniable fuel OP, but not the forward base. No one would put their HQ truck in forward unless they swap later.

The advantage of OKW here, is forward base, and their attack power behind cover and stumpio uncuttable wire, once the opponent is fought off the cut off, there is no comeback until he has tanks to crush the wire, or wasted some muni on bombing the wire.

I don't understand why the reinforced barbed wire.

No one in Relic thought that that thing will be abused stupidly?

I am not suggesting you watch all Porygon's vids, Hitman5, because other things may occur in them which are, shall we say, insalubrious?

But I frequently see Porygon referred to as a master of the ghost wire, and honestly, that takes no time at all. Sadly.

In 1v1, no. Allies completely dominate semoisky. Unless you can hold a reasonable amount of territory (very hard on this map since it's so hard to hold any points on the sides as Germans) it's going to be a real struggle.

Allied units tend to perform much better at mid and close ranges than German units. And on a map like Semoisky, where buildings and true sight lead to close fighting, allies have a good advantage with their basic infantry and light vehicles. Plus, German units tend to be worse alone (since lower member squads mean more chance RNG screws it over which leads to retreat faster), making it even harder to harass more distant territories.
