Close range and on the move they actually do.

Wow.I've been trying to keep them at long range because i figured thats where the G43 would shine. Maybe i'll switch them to a flanking squad.

What is the Y axis in the graph?

The graphs seem to say that without the upgrade, rifles are actually better, and with the 90muni upgrade only half the fusilier squad does more DPS than their rifle counterparts. For 60 muni rifles can get a BAR or an m1919 which I bet puts things pretty equal.

y axis is dps. rifles are actually better than panzerfusiliers at short to mid range. at max range they are only 1 dps less than fusiliers. an m1919 rifle squad will beat a g43 squad at mid to long range, but lose at close range.

this changed when weapon profiles were introduced. relic wanted to make different weapon types feel more unique. carbines like the g43 are now best at short to mid range. lmgs are now the long range weapons

Did some number crunching.

PanzerF (Upgraded) 34.2/16.3/9.9
Paratroopers (Un-upgraded) 45.6/14.4/9
Penals (Un-upgraded) 32.39/11.3/4.06

what range are you using for mid?

also, like i said before, fusiliers with a 90 munitions upgrade are by far the most expensive squad in that comparison

We still have panzerfusilier spam/blob. I guess they are still great.
Only drawback now is that they just have to be a more careful about Katys.

I love Panzerfusiliers. Cheap infantry that come out pretty fast and do better than Volks. Having AT Nade is fantastic. I think the real place where they shine is at vet 4/5 with an officer buff. At this point they seem to stomp on everything including rifles with 1919's or even shocks. I pretty much only play Breakthrough just for them. I love having a Jagdtiger there as well.

I'm not entirely sure. I'm using a new source for my numbers. http://www.coh2-stats.com/small_arms

tensai's numbers agree with mine. not sure where you got 22.2 for mid range fusilier dps. even 6 g43s wont do that much dps at mid range

Did I durp something?

(G43 x 3 mid range value) 3.373 x 3 = 10.119
(Kar-98k x 3 mid range value) 2.064 x 3 = 6.192

16.3~

So yes, I durped.

Mid range is different for those weapons - it's 18 for G43 and 25 for Kar98k.

This is becoming a thread high jack, sorry. Does each weapon category have its own mid range value? I'd like to standardize at a mid range value for the weapon category's so I can conduct comparisons.

Between Min and Near it constantly uses near values and DPS stays the same.
Between Near and Mid it linearly interpolates the "near" and "mid" values.
Between Mid and Far it linearly interpolates the "mid" and "far" values.
Between Far and Max it constantly uses the far values and DPS stays the same.

That's basically the 5 values that exist and can be used to model / create the weapon profiles. (Min, Max as well as the ranges Near/Mid/Far)

Different profiles usually mean different "near, mid, far" ranges.

Edit: Updated for better understanding. Donate monies and I make guide ))

That is fantastic.

Different profiles usually mean different "near, mid, far" ranges. Are those static? Like, Mid value for SMG = ? and Far value for LMG = ?

no they arent static. for example the grens lmg mid is 28, while the dp mid is 20. cons mosin mid range is 20, while gren k98 mid is 25. youll have to look at each one individually. if you like using tensais site, youll have to open each weapon page and find the range you want on his graph.

Is there a better way to find the near/mid/far values for each weapon? I've looked through tensais's website and I'm having difficulties finding where it might be set under "raw data".

These squads seem batshit OP to me.

6 men with a now spammable G43 upgrade and an officer to boost their DPS by 10-20%?

Right...

Plus they have anti tank and deadly anti infantry grenades.

I feel like this unit was intended to be munition starved but since the buff is now a goddamn nightmare and completely spammable. They are way better than obers as they cost 30% less, have 6 models to avoid wipes, and once they vet up are fucking obsence in terms of DPS output.

They need to cost like 350 and get a higher reinforce cost or have their G43 upgrade increased to 120 to reflec the change to OKW economy. They absolutely eat rifles and shocks at mid to close range, and have enough staying power to outlast at long.
