War Spoils Drop Rate and Rare Commanders
Posts: 322
Commander to be unlock after reach a certain level ( 10,20,30,40 ). I noticed that we can reset our level ( like in COD ) so yeah we will have to keep playing our ass to unlock more commanders .
But the good thing is, we know what we gonna get after spend so much times play the game, not because we " depend " on our luck ?
Bulletins and Skin should be random: After every 5 level up, you will get to choose 3 boxs out of 10 ? ( Like the Persona game )
Wouldn't it be cool ?

An option to buy without grinding would be fair for those that want it, but please no arguments of having it pay to win or pay for advantage exclusively.
The punitive p2w feel among others i believe damaged this games early promise and put many people off!
I hope the voices of who prefer not have micro transactions are louder than the fast money brigade (no offence) lol
I also believe COH2 is gonna see massive growth in player numbers now and we all want that to improve.
just my opinion
thanks

Elite troops and Industry were PAY TO WIN - none of the others were. They were then balanced, so it wasn't an issue anymore.

They had it right with the Opel commander - you rank up to lv 45 - you get this commander.
The drop system is great - IF ITS AESTHETIC ONLY - like CS:GO - that flame coloured M4 looks great but doesn't make it any easier to get a head shot.
If they want to encourage play to get commanders - link it to level progression.
They just can't seem to get anything right.

I think commanders, faceplates and victory strikes should be linked to some sort of progression on top of the random drops.

I think wfa is great the way relic is going is the right way. If the offer after 4 months all spoils of war for 20 EUR, i will buy it. If people do not want to spend money, then they have to spend more time. As long as it is possible to get everything for free as well, i am happy!

This would get kinda funny if you assemble a three times Elite Troops (or any other commander) line up ^^

Has anybody else noticed that you can get Commanders you already unlocked again with War Spoils. I now have double Jaeger Infantry (could use both of them in One Loadout) and a friend of mine has double Advanced Warfare
This could be a bug.
But if it's intentional, then I assume they plan on adding some kind of trading mechanic

Pure Genius! Seems to be working....
They make a system so bad that the player base is begging them to please take their money.

I've been using armour an awful lot, and its just... pointless. The Jackson is so good compared to the wolverine, and the regular Sherman also does just as well compared to the 105, if not better. Thompsons cost munitions and are on a squad that will never need to use them, and are redundant on the only tank crew you'll ever use outside their vehicle, the M20. Assault engies are similar to sturmpios,
Right now it looks like Infantry company is better, just because you get a free weapon rack and a mortar halftrack. The priest is just icing. The barrage is better as its closer to the actual intended target (although the 240mm is devastating when it hits).
The extra allied commanders, as OMGPOP says, are just... better. One focuses more on vehicles all game, and refunds their cost, and the other boosts infantry more than infantry company does. The M4E8 is superior to the 105mm.
Whereas the OKW have two very powerful commanders in the breakthrough tactics and luftwaffe.

Strummingbird, that's more of a comment on how absolutely shit most of the US commanders are.
Honestly I would disagree with that. Assault engineers do boatloads of damage despite being fragile (I recall a post stating that they do more damage than assault grens). They also have flamers, which are very useful since the US faction gets none normally. Add to that the demo charges and repair and you get some very nice utility. Wolverines are getting a buff next patch, and you can go T2-T3 and call in armor with the 105mm which has solid armor/health for a medium tank.
Rifleman doctrine gives your rifles flamers, which kinda defeats the point of ass engis except as a very early call in. Phosphorus drop used to be insanely good, not sure how it does now. Veteran rifles take longer to build but are definitely very strong , and the crown jewel- the Easy Eight- is a better allrounder than any other medium tank (on par or better than the T3485).
Just to compare, it has 215 armor and 175/165/155 penetration, more than any other medium tank (bar vet 2 P4s, armor-wise). Good speed , good reload, lots of utility with smoke, has vehicle crews to self-repair, for 10 more fuel than a Panzer IV.
