The tank combat shown looks very bogus, as for the 'Germans'(rein-actors).

Afaik the movie was partly funded by World of tanks game company and will have a focus on that gameplay.

The film is set during the last months of World War II in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened U.S. Army sergeant in the 2nd Armored Division named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank called "Fury" and its five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

Plot summarized on wikipedia :D

Sounds like a very cheesy "amisamisMurica f*ck yeah- Movieamisamis" to me!

Its not heroic to continue beating an enemy, who is already on the ground.

But, they are outnumbered, so who cares about the rest of the war, which is already won, those characters, are in danger, so OMG, tension.

It was filmed in the UK, the Tiger Tank is real, I like the cast and director and love war movies.

I am really looking forward to the movie.

looks exciting, problem is they're going to fuck it up by either
-include unnecessary females roles because of femminazi's and 'muh generic heroine female roles'(see : stalingrad 2013, all modern Disney films, etc etc etc)

I love how somehow Disney movies, which have been about princesses for literally forever, have "unnecessary female roles." You must really hate women!

Good post Ami, I wasn't aware of this movie.

Looks like your typical WW2 action move. Combat won't be very authentic compared to masterpieces such as Cross of Iron but it will still be enjoyable.

And the use of real WW2 tanks is a major bonus. Anyhow I love seeing nazis get pummeled by good old cigar munching chaps, even if it's cliché.

Will definitely watch and enjoy it.

Yo Shane from Walking Dead is in it? I'm in.

He was also in The Pacific so he's already done the WWII thang.

I believe he's talking about placing women in an historical context that they never actually occupied.

I didn't realize the Disney movies were so historically accurate with the exception of the women. This changes my view entirely of the role that lion kings have played in the history of Africa.

It got cut. When I hopped into alpha you could garrison soviet tanks, but the animation didn't quite work. Might see it later on though.

Definitely watching it for the tanks. I remember watching "A Bridge too far" and wondering what German WW2 tank those Leopard I were supposed to represent. This was awkward.

Still I can´t help the feeling that the movie is going to have some frustrating stereotype shit in it.

The Tiger will of course lose to the Sherman. Choose one of the following:

1) The Germans get cocky and do something stupid.
2) Brad Pitt does a sacrifice to kill himself and the Tiger.
3) Brad Pitt has a super intelligent plan that would never work, but does work.
4) The Sherman just breaks the law of physics and destroys the Tiger without problems.

In "Saving Private Ryan" - also directed by Spielberg - socks were sufficient to get rid of one of the Tigers.

Either way... the Tiger won´t make it out alive in that movie.:D
