Not sure if someone already mentioned this, but this bug has been around since the recent patch. Even with a clear line of sight and hold fire off, the osther sniper often would not fire. You have to manually click on the enemy squad for him to fire.
I happens relatively often, but I'm not sure the exact causes to repeat it reliably.
Multiple friends have had the same issue.

seems to happen for me when the sniper is in camouflage, seems to happen with the soviet sniper for me too.

Both snipers don't auto fire when in cover/camouflage.
I dunno, this bug has seemed to greatly improve my sniper micro.

It happens to me as well.
I think it was when being in cover, I hit the stop key.
Furthermore, attack move is not working properly on me. Instead of firing at max range as possible, it seems they keep running towards the enemy! anyone have this bug too?
(I usually play with ostheer snipers)

Yes, Ostheer sniper bugged, sometimes not received camo in cover, stop auto fire in cover, or get countersniped vs attack moved SU sniper team 2. member, while Ost sniper in green cover

Today my sniper just ran into a Shock squad with the attach move command.
It was on Moscow Outskirts and nothing was blocking his FoV.
Fun times =)

Hope they fixed this is new patch. Anyone else also have a problem with OST sniper running dangerously close to the enemy when manually told to fire? I checked this a few times and it's not me clicking the ground close to the enemy. He runs up instead of staying at the range I originally clicked then fires. Always gives me a heart attack.

Happens to me all the time. I think it is related to truesight. If the sniper loses sight of the target, he runs to where the attack command was issued, instead of just standing still.

If enemy went away, our adventurer will countinue its way to the destinated target. This is why lots of player use attack move with(probably everything) but HMG, sinper because if you are slow as hell dont bring the hmg into front of enemy.

I have a suspicion it is related to camo, which is why the German sniper bugs out far more often than the Soviet sniper (who rarely goes into camo while on the move).

Alas...This bug is very annoying and it has been there for too long...
It applies both for german and Russian snipers and only if they are in camo.
