And Relic for being stupid enough to give it to a bunch of amateurs (community "balance" team) to design their game by gutting fun features that players enjoyed, and want to come back to CoH 2 to enjoy time to time.

No mod that does that. There was COH2013 that was *kinda* like it but the developer abandoned it and unlisted it from the workshop.

Back then I could never have imagined people would miss the things listed here.

You make a good point. The game could be seen as watered down from the original.

I guess the flip side of the argument is:
1) The game balance was getting more equal over time.
2) Every change is a good change because the game can feel stale at points. People flock back every patch.
3) The balance team could only change so much. They actually made some interesting changes.


I don't have a dog in the fight. Just conversing. Balance changes are almost meaningless to me personally. Rarely did any change make my games play out different. But I do like to support the balance team when possible since they put time in for free.

But this whole thing can be seen like the last mapping post made. The maps people say they like do not get played. People have valid arguments why they are good maps. But the community as a whole disagrees.

But we have no real metric for this list of missing features. How does the community feel overall??? So it is an interesting post to think about. Stuff like deep snow and Cold Tech are still available right? Just not in automatch.
