I like the defensive bonus it provides, I like how it can fight infantry and certain light vehicles
I don't like that it doesn't get a coaxial mg upgrade

Ya maybe it could use some changes. I really only play Ost, and I am not pro or anything close to that. But it does seem like P4 Command Tank could use some love

The Ostheer command tank should be a Panzer IV F2, not a Panzer IV F1.
Or make it start with armor skirts and stuff

It's an early war blitzkrieg tank so give it an acceleration and speed buff with tied to the aura when surrounded with allied armor. Then it has some flavor.

A patch cut it to 10% because it was ostensibly too powerful, but the fix didn't go through and it stayed at 20% for over a year. The complaints about it stopped nonehteless.
Now it's not a call-in, it could really do with that stronger aura to make it worthwhile.

the problem with 20% while barely having inpact on tanks in comparison to 20% is that the inf fights are somewhat fair, imagine grens with 40% reduced dmg vet 3

If the unit needs a buff, the aura should add something in a different direction. Damage modifiers are not something you should be messing back n forth, specially on permanent things.

I disagree: the 20% DR was a nice, straightforward aura with a powerful effect. There's no need to layer on even more unnecessary complexity.

Simply removed it from Mobile defense and fix it.
As for auras imo they should all scale and be split into 2 part a low one passive and bigger active.

The effect was there to counter old levels of lethality and only on owned territories which made the unit clunky to use.
For it to gain 20% DR back, it would have to follow one of this options:
-Munition based active ability. 10% Passive, increased to 20% for a certain duration of time.
-20% DR only on your own tanks. 10% only on allied ones and your own infantry (due to recent Gren change).
-+10% when units are on owned territories.
