It’s also fragile vs TDs, high cost for a medium, needs vet to get extra armour and can easily be zoned out by AT and TDs.
Excellent medium and in my view a must build workhorse for Ostheer, but in no way overpowered.

That should never be an argument for a tank.
Its like saying infantry is bad, because HMGs suppress them.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Well saying “best unit ever” tends to give people the wrong impression. It kinda sounds on the OP like you’re saying it’s OP.

Really a very strange comparison. The main role of the TD is the destruction of tanks, but we do not complain that TDs are absolutely useless against infantry.
If we talk on the topic, then I agree. Pz.4 is the best tank of tanks with a similar price. He just has OP anti infantry capabilities, good AT capabilities, an excellent first veteran ability. Plus has a strong doctrinal bonus like smoke.

I didn't know Panzer IV was called Tiger. Are you sure you didn't mix up the numbers? Maybe you meant Panzer VI?

PzIV loses badly to many units like the KV-1 and Churchill.

This theory holds little water, units performance is also related to its counter.
If one increases the penetration of the Panther to 312/299/286 IS-2 will probably become UP.

i can upload a game where my p4 bounces and misses 4 shots in a row vs a cromwell and the cromwell hits, pens and drives around the p4 with 4 shots in a row and his faster turret speed

I have the same opinion. Even at vet 0, the slightly better scatter of OKW's P4 makes it perform much better than Ost's P4. I don't know how Cruzz calculated it, but his AoE scores feel pretty close to the truth:
