The KV8 tank performs extremely well when I use it. Even tho it had a small nerf some patches ago (IIRC it had its flame burst reduced somewhat).
It has incredable armor, just don't get it snared. It even has a 45mm gun swap so it can effectivly fight off light armor aswell.
No complaints at all.

Full health KV8 won't get snared with 1 faust but it does if you dive into 2 grens and an ATG up front. It all depends on your gameplay.
Also support it with an SU85(or ZiS3) may help.

Hey Ritter, that´s a serious complain and it´s completely reasonable. You are right about that.
Does the KV8 shoot with water? Actually YES. The KV8 shoots with water
for the very reason to get your soldiers clean as fast as possible at the frontline.
However, there is one important point to remember about the commander,
when you play the "nice and clean soldiers doctrine"...
...don´t forget to build at least two cargo-trucks with enough water-balloons
to refill that massive tank on the frontline, since the KV8 is very slow and
it takes to long to refill it in base every time. It´s much more efficient to transport these water balloons to the frontline with these trucks to keep your tank firing.

Ya, water supplies on the battlefield were really important. KV-8 were quite essential, when it came to water and "having a good shower on the frontline" issues.
KV-8 as submarine? That´s really interesting!! Thank you very much for sharing this historical information! Saved my day!

Don't bother, everybody is convinced the KV8 is op, when in truth this unit has been nerfed down to a complete joke in 1v1.
T34 85 needs to have slightly less AI. It's shells are basically on par with Sherman HE yet it does everything.

See, the British tried to disguise their battle tank program in ww1 by calling them water carriers for the desert, but in ww2 the soviets realized that the British had it wrong, disguise your water carriers as battle tanks!
Most of my ideas are probably bad, - but I try and share lots of them

KV-8 does not need anymore damage and its a cost efficient unit.
On the other hand all flamer units would use a redesign.
The DOT damage should be moved to an ability allowing to deliver lots of damage but with limitations.
The these specialized unit could have their cost reduced so that they are cheaper than main battle tanks that can deal with different types of targets.

I'm going to have to agree with the OP. The KV-8 feels really meh. It's priced on the high end of medium tanks but I don't feel more threatened by it than say a p4 in terms of anti infanty power.

I mean, unscreened AT guns vs a KV8 and upgraded guards. 1 half health AT gun that retreats after his first shot, and the second AT gun stops firing to retreat while still at 5 men and then gets caught in an unfortunate death-loop.
