Can someone explain why this unit is cheaper - and more durable - than the WC54 Ambulance and the M3A1 Scout Car again

Would be cool if Medic truck would have an AT rifle Volks squad available instead of the IRHT. It would give T1 an AT option that's somewhere inbetween the Raketen and Puma in terms of flexibility.
This would be better than the double Schreck for Sturms idea, because they would not conflict with the role of Schreck Pfusi's, being only good against lights, which is the main weakness of T1 builds.
AT rifles seem a bit out of place since they where not used for AT at the end of the war.
What one could try would be an squad that could fire fausts as an AT weapon with no snare. They could be lower damage high accuracy weapons better suited vs lights.

As an other user would say:
Apples and oranges, the units you mention have nothing in common other that they are all vehicles.

You're right, neither of those vehicles offer maphacks or gamebreaking visibility glitches.

Replace map hack with what Valentine got for its map hack and call it a day.
Its pointless to keep broken mechanic just for the sake of having it, when the same role can already be achieved in non balance breaking and exploit invoking way.

Alternatively the whole thing could be revamped. IR STGs could lose their cover ignore modifier and be available for Volks and Obers, then the IR HT could lose the map hack and just get a cone of area of effect, where it allows iR STGs to hit enemies within that cone with higher accuracy.

Yop, basically just give it a larger sight (maybe focused one, like the SU85 gets) and thats it.
IR halftrack is there to give vision/detection, replacing it with random stuff just for the sake of having 3 units in tech makes no sense.
Either change it or remove it

To replace the IR HT i'd suggest the 250/10 half-track armed with a 37mm PaK36. Only the hard part will be that we need a new unit model with the baby AT gun in it.

The HT from game files has no model inside the 250, no firing animation or shell. It’s incomplete and not suitable for the live game.
