At least for German 2v2, the Ele is a 100% necessary call-in to have at your disposal just in case the other player brings the ISU. And as of this patch, we're seeing that in most games. I agree. The main diffrence between the Elefant and the ISU-152 is, that the latter murders infantry and tanks alike while the former murders tanks only. That is true however you cannot ignore the fact that the elephant has less viable counters that can be used against it. Soviets have no hard counter vs it but Germans have a hard counter for the ISU. Having a lock down like the Marder had in COH1 is a viable option. Stops them retreating so easily and would make flanking far easier. The problem I see with that is the Elephant right now is still more durable than the ISU. Maybe recon / stuka needs removing from the commander to open up the use of artillery vs it. It will be interesting to see what happens when the new armies are released. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: ISU-1525 May 2014, 02:17 AM After watching Jamin / Suprise vs iTzDusty / Sepharim game on streams just now, they did suffer a lot to the ISU's 1 shotting but the elephant was dishing out a lot of damage to their armour. ISU does need rebalancing but I feel the Elephant needs adjusting a bit as well, maybe just removing spotting scopes because although its AI is crappy, it just eats armour and ISU's for breakfast and the natural counters are not that great at it (arty is nullified by the stuka, soviets dont have decent infantry based at). AT Gun spam appears to be the only way to beat it. If the damage of the ISU was lowered, does that change aoe damage at all? In: COH2 Balance

What does this have to do with the ISU? Something to do with how good or bad Russian armour was in WW2 and whether the ISU could hit German armour with accuracy and essentially destroy the tank with 1 HE round and if that should be reflected in the game. Thread: SU85 derserves some AI ability4 May 2014, 00:24 AM If you were to buff the AI you would have to nerf the AT. It doesnt really need AI imo. What would be better is swapping T70 and SU-76 around, so that you get light at in T3 and some anti infantry / scout tank in T4. In: Lobby
