Afrika Korps and Rommel are probably the only German things from WW2 which werent antagonized by mass media and history.

Rommel himself have a reputation of a "honarable german general" and the whole Afrika Theater is usually presented as a "gentelmen fight" rather then bloody massacre and warcrimes.

So there wont be any problems adding german campaing in afrika for Relic. Hell, they made PE campaing. And PE were litterary SS guys in CoH1, with all the propaganda and heroic speaches. Funny enouth, kampfgruppe lehr (which PE is), was a part of a Wehrmacht not SS, while Relic made them almost a copy of SS. Still, we had their campaing and it was a good one. Noone complained about glorification of the nazis. Even ladder ranks for PE were censored SS ranks with word "fuhrer" replaced by "leiter".

Not to mention that even BF5 had the German campain and its considered the best one out of all, without complains. Even if EA allowed themself to show german side without backfire, then Relic can for sure.

If there wont be an Afrika Korps campain it will be a wasted oportunity. But mark my words, it will be there 99%.

July is also the month of the first battle of El Alamein, when Rommel smashed and routed the Brits in north Africa before being finally stopped from taking all of Egypt. I wonder if it's a coincidence.

Afrika is out of picture anyway. If it would have been whole mediterranean + afrika they would have included part of the afrika on the pic.

But afrika is clearly out of the picture with the emphasis on the Italy and a part of Tunis from which Axis retreated from Afrika and from which Allies latter on launched invasion of Italy.

the isg is kind of special compared to other indirect fire pieces in that it has a rather small aoe, but very tight scatter to make up for this.
as a result, "shotgunning" or firing from close range will be less effective for the isg than for regular mortars, simply because it will only play out its scatter advantage at longer distances.
however, at max range the isg should deal more damage on average than, say, a grw-34.

Yes, but I'am still kinda stuggling trying to find this optimal sweet spot distance. It might have a better long range scatter and show better results then regular mortars, but the results I usually get arent particularly good.

Just to be clear: I never said that the B4 alone is responsible for a 2% higher allied winrate, which is in fact a 4% closing the gap. At 3vs3 it is even higher. But B4 is a part of the changes that lead to the more even winrates.
In the end a too strong B4 is far less dangerous for gameplay than a too strong Priest, Calliope, Panzerwerfer, Walking Stuka and so on, because these units are mobile, back up to safety and thus are way harder to destroy. Thats a second reason why I have less of a problem with a powerful B4.

On the other side I have not a problem with small nerfs to B4 at all, but that should happen in conjunction with small buffs at other late game units that get used more in teamgames than in 1vs1. Im just pretty happy that we are closer to an even winrate than we were in years. Seems the devs did something good, we shouldn't loose the grip on that one by reverting changes partly.

I was never saying that B4 right now need drastic nerfs or that its the most broken unit in the game. B4 has its place as a unique howi with a different firing model and different behaviour. However, its an undeniable fact that right now, as it is, its just too good.

I was saying from the begining of this thread that if anything B4 just need ajustements in cooldown\suppression\price\vet\cp or any combination of mentioned stuff. It still has its place as a strong unit, it has its place in the soviet arsenal. It just shouldn't be better by a mile then other howis or, if it should, then it should be at least priced accordingly.
