Somehow the m8 motor carriage is a great unit. Then looking at the su-76, you see it serves little function. Soviets have a problem where units are too similar to each other, but one isnt that much better than the other. Such as conscripts- penals, su-76 - su-85 (su-76 barrage isnt all that special) as well as t-70 - t-34 (because there is way too small of a price difference between the two, and they are right next to each other). And conscript ppsh's aren't really special these days, so conscripts getting ppsh's nondoctrinally at some point is a good idea. The only thing Soviets got going is that units are somewhat cheaper (to reinforce), slightly more durable, and available at a good time. Thats it. Then there's that gap until you get t34/85's, IS-2's, or ISU-152's. Also decent tank AI, but terrible available and largely untrustable nondoctrinal AT. |
Just because a thing is free and unwanted does not change the fact it's absolutely free, cost you nothing, is a thing you would not have otherwise had, and have no right to complain about having.
It's literally Relic handing you things you didn't pay for and have no right to own, other than that relic decided to give them to you. You don't get to complain that they're not the things you want. That's not how free works.
Ill mail you my used toilet paper. Im giving you it for free, and you didnt want it, it costs you nothing, you wouldnt have my waste otherwise, and i suppose you have no right to complain tons of it was dumped on your lawn? |
Im deciding to play OKW until they fix this because ive played for dozens of hours straight as Americans alone - and couldnt even get one commander. I still dont have one other victory strike other than the starting one! Yet i have an endless amount of faceplates... |
Shoot! They found out about the KT's Spearhead bug... |
Bugs. Lots of them. Terrible glitchy animations, then a tank shell ruining the animation and everything is dead and bodies are glitching inside each other. Itll look ugly. |
Do i have to post all my duplicate faceplates again? FACEPLATES ARE WORTH NOTHING. THERE IS ZERO VALUE IN HAVING THREE EXTRA EACH OF TWO DIFFERENT FACEPLATES.
It should not be, no excuse. |

Its too expensive with its innacurracy. There is little point to high range when even standing still it cant hit a target 10 meters in front of it sometimes. Every shell counts, and a shell that hits the ground vs a medium tank is retarded. It needs less scatter and higher accuracy; its a TD! |
Any player can maxim spam, since it takes very little micro-managing skills because of the ease it takes for maxims to re-place as well as their 6 man team (and the fact it can be your first unit made). Ive seen several streams - played against very annoying tactics that included penals and FHQ's built on neutral decapped territories to see that soviets can be a pain in the butt without needing to camp out and send home every enemy unit that meets the maxim line. I usually lose to those than maxims which is why i answered. But a good player + maxim spam is a sad sight to see. I, fortunately havent met the likes to give me a fast defeat. |
Most good players I know will get at on time because they know that at some point if the opponent is as smart as them they'll get armor to counter like the flak ht. If they're also smart they'll prob lay mines and try to lure that flak ht into the mines near his at-gun position so that if the opponent gets too ballsy and tries to flank the at-gun or chase the maxim he'll hit a mine and inevitably get destroyed by the incoming at-gun. I'm guessing you play maxim spamming noobs most of the time if they're unable to sense this. And yes I know some good players that maxim spam unfortunately.
I normally do not associate good players with maxim spam, so unfortunately, there is 0 chance against beating these people who tie off all loose ends and counter everything. I was just responding to situations the OP would probably rage in, because i was under the vast assumption that the OP would rage at the simplest things like nooby maxim spam. |
"A decent player" cannot be used to describe a maxim spammer, imo. Hardcountering with units many allied-favoring players complain about apparently is an answer to a very cheesy and skill-lacking tactic. |
