Remember what happened to coh2? Relic didn't want to add usf at first but they had to becouse the game didn't sell in NA. If they want to maximise sales and belive me, this is the only thing they care about, they have to start with usf. It's that simple. But sure, I would love something like Tobruk campaign myself. I hope they will make it sooner. Look at DAW3's steam charts... And how old is the game, and compare it to COH2, it must be embarrassing! .... Relic should had made COH3 instead of DAW3 game, with all that hype about WW2 games... And they missed a great opportunitet yet again.... If they started this year and they most probably did, there is no way they can make a finished product before 2020. And by finished I don't mean dlc-free. In: Lobby |

That way if all 4 players use the ability at the same time the opposing team finds themselves in a terrible situation. Yes, they possibly have 4 times the AA presence, but they also have 16 times the health of planes to chew through. Current planes have been changed multiple time in the history of the game and currently they are almost on point. Only need some slight polish. Making revolutionary changes at that point will just have unpredicted effects that will need few more years to ballance... What I wrote is just one of these effects. In: Lobby |

Tunisia late 1942 to 1943 would be a cool setting. That would be the first coh game to suffer from brit emplacement cancer from day 1 It would be much wiser to start in marocco and algeria with germans vs usf as base and then add brits and italians in first add on. That way they can maximise sales becouse they cover two main markets on release. In: Lobby |

actually, if you look at Starcraft 2, most people don't even touch the MP ladder and prefer play co op or custom maps. Dawn of war 3's biggest problem is that it has started with 1 game mode and nothing like the last stand system. Relic needs to get out more game modes faster. Co-op, custom maps and mods are in fact similar to multiplayer - they create a stable playerbase. In every statement in my last post you can change the word "multiplayer" into "custom maps" and it will be still valid. The problem is not enough stable playerbase after 3 weeks from release. Of course 5k is a good amount for RTS. It would be amazing amount of players for B class RTS. It is also a great amount of players for over 3 years old game such as CoH2. But it is definitely not a good score for 1st or 2nd most awaited RTS in 2017. This is not a good score for any AAA game just after release. And here we come to the most sensible conclusion - the DoW3 is a game advertised as AAA, but in fact doesn't live up to this standard. If it had such a good campaign then it just screems wasted potential. In modern game, the campaign is there to make people interested in it and keep them playing multiplayer when they finish the campaign. In this case they may have made great campaign but they also made a multiplayer that makes people leave the game after finishing the campaign. This is sure not the effect they wanted to acheive and it is surely showing that more and more players are going to leave the game with time. In: Lobby |

So you guys are comparing a game that has had multiple sales over it's lifetime and has more content with a game that has less and determining that the game has failed? You can rewind that graph to see coh2 release stats. It started with less players at realease but it took 5 months to go down to 5k level, not 3 weeks. Then it went high up again becouse of new content and ballance changes. No studio can release new content every 2-4 weeks just to keep game alive - that's why this graph means dow3 is soon to be completely dead. In: Lobby |

As far as I know every unit in game has it's unified value that increases with vet. At vet 0, for manpower only units it is equal to their manpower cost. For other units it is calculated in some other way. This value is the amount of experience another unit gains for killing that unit. If only the damage is dealt, then the "value" of a shot is (value of the unit on current vet level) * (damage dealt) / (nominal hp). This value is added to units experience bar. The value of one model at said vet level is shown in game on xp kickers. Now to the efficiency: The efficiency is the "value damage" dealt by all units of such type through whole match divided by vet 0 value of the unit and number of units build and captured. (value damage dealt) / (vet 0 value) / ((number of build) + (number of captured)) * 100% Mind that reinforcement cost and upkeep cost is not taken into account in this calculation. That is why basic frontline infantry usually has the highest efficiency. Another thing to mention is that becouse the efficiency score is divided by sum of units build and captured, every time you leave your usf vehicle and then recapture it, the efficiency goes down. This is why in most usf tanks have low efficiency in the stats even though they deal enormous amounts of damage. @OP emplacements are not shown in these stats becouse at the beginning the game had only 2 categories of units: infantry and vehicles. Old artillery and AT emplacements were considered infantry. On the top right of the screen in match you have lists of all your units. On first row you can see all your infantry. On the second all your vehicles. Similarly, the post match stats are divided in these two categories. Mind that units such like bunkers are not shown in either view, becouse they don't belong to any category. With brits, relic added another, new category: emplacements. That is why when you build brit emplacement it is shown in the 3rd row in menu list, not in the first like old artillery emplacements. The only problem is, they forgot to add the new category to stat screen. The emplacements doesn't show there, simply becouse they belong to a category that was not taken into consideration when they created it. In: COH2 Gameplay |
