Welcome to the forum In order to achive good performance without loosing much quality set antialiasing to low or none. Then set everything else to highest setting. Would be cool if you could report the result here. |
Tobis is generally right, I just have two things to point out:
1. Xp is based on damage and value of the unit, but the equation of manpower + 4*fuel is only true when the unit it as vet 0. Dealing damage to vetted squads gives your squads more xp as well. The difference is easiest to be seen on xp kickers.
2. You actually can manipulate vet in some ways. Most importantly, becouse of the equation discussed above, dealing damage to vehicles gives more xp. You can for example decide to trade munitions for xp by fausting your opponents or getting AT upgrades early on. You can also manipulate XP of many light vehicles, like 251 halftrack, by keeping it close to fighting infantry units. These LVs get some of the xp that nearby infantry gets.
Another way that some top players use to win the vet battle is to minimise damage taken at all cost. It can be done by the use of supression, early soft retreating from bad engagements and engaging only in green cover. This may mean that you will not gain vet very fast, but your opponent will gain it even slower. The disadvantage is that you may lose some of the resource battle as you are unable to push for territory too much using such strategy. |
What Vaz said. If you are willing to make such an effort either create a database, or, if you don't know how databases work, just create a public google spreadsheet and link it here. Otherwise the data put here will be horrible to search in and thus pointless. |
like forexample from you?^^
Now I don't get relic. At the end of the survey they ask whether you got it by e-mail or from somebody else but now when I try to reopen it, it says I have already taken it and doesn't allow another submission with different IP and steamID. Sorry then, looks like I have been mislead by relic inconsequence :/ |
Actually the survey allows for sharing to people who don't have relic accounts but have the game. So if somebody is really anxious to make the survey before the e-mail he can do it by getting the link from somebody who got it. |
I know, but 250 munnition is 8 mines. And I think 8 mines can cause more harm than sigle Fallshirmjager squad
Mines are definitely munitions best spent, even though you need to waste some time of your sturms to place them. Still, there are many abilities that cost around or over 200 munitions, yet they manage to deal more than 440 mp damage only if shooting at static emplacements. If there was an ability that killed one chosen infantry squad, including elite like falls, shocks and obers, for 250 muni, I think many would use it and it would be often called imballanced. This ability does something like that but it adds a unit instead of killing enemy unit. |
Fallshirmjager doctrine is meh. For 100 munnition you´re basicly getting a sprint for all squads because it´s bugged and doesn´t give you offensive bonuses. 250 munny strike is bugged, some planes do not spawn. Falls are only good for 1st time deploy, they are too squishy to be used afterwards, volks are better. Pretty meh doc.
I agree that fall doctrine is not very good, I just would like to point out that the real purpose of the air strike is to spawn a squad without using your small manpower reserves. Best used in the late game when you are close to pop cap (but far enough to get the squad online!) so your manpower income is very low. It is in fact the only ability that gives elite troops for munitions, as well as the only one that doesn't force you to lose models in order to get new ones for muni. |
It is not a question of rebuilding the t1, there is no reason for this mechanism. Other faction do not lose their snare even if they lose all buildings.
Ostheer tier 1 is a very cheap and small building. This makes it ideal as a forward reinforce on the border of the base and it is very often used in that fashion. A decision to put your T1 in front is generally very beneficial but, as everything in well designed rts, has its downsides. The most important one is that if such placement makes you lose the building you are prone to vehicle rush into the base. That is why you may consider not stretching the forward placement too much and hiding a building behind the hedge for example. This is a perfect example of good, interesting design right there. No changes needed. |
No offense bro but,
What’s the point of uninstalling the game, yet hanging around on the fourms?
Do you not have enough space on your hard drive, or you like to have space for other future games/updates?
Is there some reference to uninstall/installs relic has that is affected with each time one of the two occures.
Or is this a personal preference of uninstalling to give yourself a feeling of satisfaction and security?
I’m only asking because I never got why people uninstall a game, and make it known to the public.I personally simply quit playing and not even waste a minute on the fourms if that particular game. And one day if I’m bored I can simply resume playing not have to redownload, unless space is a luxury, I would see why uninstalling. Thanks for the reply
I think there is a reason to uninstall the game when you stop playing it if it works well only when installed on ssd like coh2 does. As for making it public, as long as the post is polite and you don't remind about it all the time there is nothing wrong with it in my opinion. |
Faust for grenadier/ostruppen requires the t1 building to exist, so it can become unavailable.
Imo it should become also available with BP 1 (at least for the Grenadiers that is).
On subject the spotting from IR can be very helpful.
Ostheer T1 is the cheapest tier building in whole game. Why wouldn't you just rebuild it if you lose it? |
