Sounds pretty much like a noob trap. I can hardly imagine any sick circumstances when it would be beneficial for okw player to skip healing, forward retreat point and resource conversion altogether. |
well the thing is,who would want/be able to crew a tank thats full of molten cooked tank crewmen?
I dont wanna get into detail but how would you even 'move' their bodies...
It was pretty common during ww2 to destroy tanks by throwing molotovs or granades inside. Ofc if you were not able to throw it inside you would aim the engine but that made tanks hard to repair, removing smoking bodies from inside is much less of a problem. Such tanks could be and were used then. |
Hm, guess the reason won't be too simplistic then...
It may be true that camo is implemented on model level when you add to it that probably the reason why at guns have no retreat but have reverse gear instead is that they are treated like vehicles. Then, they cannot have infantry based camo. |
Prioritize vehicle would be nice but not allowing at to shoot at infantry at all would be stupid and hard to implement. Stupid because those weapons are very usefull for destroying cover right now and hard to implement as right now every squad can have only one target at the moment, if you click to attack tank with shrecks all the stg44 models will shoot at it too. Remember that all at squads excluding at partisants are also quite potent AI units. (2x stg, thompson, 4 rifles on volks and so on) |
You do realize that some of those people got there because of pure abuse ?
What do you mean by abuse? You cannot blame anybody for playing to win and with what game itself gives him. Ofc you can have your own special honor code that for example you dont use specific units, factions or commanders and accept that it makes your play and thus your rank worse, but then you have to make sure you don't force other players to do the same, that is their right to choose just like you have chosen. |
Current state of emplacements is terrible.
Before brace nerf it was hard to kill, yes, but it was easy to counter.
You did not need to kill it, to counter it.
One ISG/Mortar shooting at it was perfect counter.
Your mortar did not get any kills (shooting at emplacement) but on the other hand you forced emplacement to be on brace mode all the time so no kill for them.
It was simple and very good solution in my opinion.
1 unit shuting down another it perfect way.
Currently it's terrible.
No one will spend 400MP for immobile mortars which die fairly quickly once brace is down.
Bofors? Again, 1 mortar is enough to put it in brace mode.
It's like taking 3 units from Brits (that 17 pounder pop cap) which leaves them without mortars, mid game unit to hold the ground and without famous 17p.
Current early-mid game is dying.
No flamers to clear buildings (WASP will help until 222), no SMGs, no assaut rifles, no mortars, no smoke, no nades, no mid game unit to hold the ground (222, flamenwerfer, Stug E; 251/17, Puma, Luchs; Stuart, AA truck; Quad, T70).
This hole should be filled by Bofors or Armored Car but both are useless in current state, which leads us to desperate rush for Centaur because there is no other way to hold in front of HMGs and LMGs.
What's more, it's not like you can afford 400MP mortar pit
I'm still amazed how 2 mortars covered by sandbags, which cannot retreat are losing to 2 mortars on the open field, without any special cover
They should be hard to deal when using tanks or mortars, fairly easy when using late game arty like railway and very easy to infantry as a reward for getting so close.
The best solution to the situation would be keeping brace as is but changing how manned emplacements work. If you put IS in there you should get current buffs but if you put sappers they should slowly but surely repair the emplacement without the risk of dying to ISG fire. That way you would not be able to counter with constant barrage by attack ground but you will have to force a serious concentrated attack on brit position. |
Peaple should use ukf quotes in in-game chat Kappa |
A Sherman is 10cm taller than a Panzer IV.
Different sources give nubers from 274cm to 3m, so it varies from 10 to 30 cm giving about 10% more height. Also p4 is shaped prism-like while sherman is shaped more cube-like and thus much easier to spot and hit. Mind that for example t-34 was onlt 245cm heigh while stug less than 2 meters in smallest versions. |
Its not that bad actually. There was a time when matchmaker loved to match me against ihitto. If i lost i lost no more than 3 places in the ladder. But once I managed to win somehow. My rank jumped up by 200 places back then Kappa Even if you cannot do sth like this there always can be a miracle bugsplat and you get into top 200 Kappa |
Um, I don't know if you've seen the SU76 and Zis gun lately, but they both have zero problem penetrating Panthers and Tigers.
He probably ment tank gun that t-34/76 and kv-1 both use.
As for the churchil i feel its ok, you pay with speed, 200mp and 40 fuel for extra durability on your cromwell and you get the tank that is great damage sponge in both defence and offence but has no flanking capabilities what makes it's gun less usefull than cromwell one. Good that it can penetrate frontal armour on mediums. Smoke is not much of an 'out of jail card' as it couses tank to move slower to the point when anybody can attack ground it easily though. |
