I'd say there is quite a bit of a difference between adding a critical CQC unit for a faction that doesn't have any CQC of its own and fights against powerful ones and adding a powerful LV when it really isn't all that needed. Reduce the overall damage if you want, al mortars will become less rng based though but you could increase the AoE and also have really low far damages. As an example: (I dont really know the numbers, im just making them up) Old mortar AoE: Radius: 0.5/1/1.5 Dmg: 40/20/10 New mortar AoE: Radius: 0.5/5/15 Dmg:40/10/5 A blob will suffer the effect from R:5/10 Dmg and to a minimum of 5 to each model. Or we can do nothing, because there isn't a problem. If you can't deal with blob, its on you, you don't need safe space units and handicaps for strats that are easily counterable as it is. In: Lobby

Below rank 300, USF is easy mode. It's a weird dynamic. That's because rifles, while strong, aren't exactly super hard to counter or apply attrition to, at least before they have 2x bars. Noobs don't know how to deal with anything that beats grenadiers and high players know where HMG button is. In: Lobby

Sort of ostheer dream at the moment it was created (plus emplacements) That was the whole point of UKF existence, faction that's weak in early game and strong enough to compete against axis factions in late game, rivaling late game tank power spike of stock axis forces. It was back then when if allies didn't win by 20th minute, it was pretty much autowin for axis player, especially USF suffered because of this as heavy tanks and panthers roflstomped them. That design is dead, UKF has lost all of its crutches and gimmicks it heavily relied on as the faction lacks a LOT of basic tools and the last strong point of the faction, sections, were nerfed so bad they had to buff them in multiple ways just so they can compete again. MOBILE artillery platform Which stock brit unit is mobile artillery platform like pwerfer, katy, stuka or even fucking major? rocketlaunce with cost nearly nothing and doesnt die to one shot from mediums etc, Ok, this is when we can tell the acid kicked in. - only when u are to udmb to use them. they are superior to defend alone much better than any AT gun and mg could do. yes they die in the fire when 4 players attack them...every unit do it. but they are super cheap and performant Emplacements are usueless against anyone better then 4 digit warriors, this is specifically why they are excelling against you and why you struggle so much despite them being literal loss of pop cap. - thats tommys strengt. okw need volks to start and later obers to deal good dmg...brits buy 4 sqaud IS and upgrade them into obers performanche. nice one. it doesnt eat or popcap that much..can be upograded into difference strength. Ah, I see you haven't updated your game for last 4 patches. u must be brit noob if u think that tommys are bad. Balance team and pro players confirmed noobs then. In: COH2 Balance

And he was specifically suggesting giving regular mortars more AOE... 120mm is also less cost efficient then stock mortar and no one even considers using it over stock mortar. Stormjäger Nobody would be complaining about blobs if indirect fire was more forgiving to individual squads but had more AoE. That way the MG would suppress and a mortar would lower the health of every squad on the blob. Sorry, but you can't make it so indirect fire does more and less damage at the same time. In: Lobby
