You can't attack and defend with the same unit at the same time and lets be honest, even biggest pros do not advance taking pauses in cover. Also, ost pios do that without having to sit in cover. Lets take a short moment to remember how small increase of USF rifle DPS at range they already beat all their intended targets was deemed as "rifles most OP ever, nothing but rifles will ever be used from this day onward" and a month leater, rifles magically became balanced on their own. It's time to realign them with the standard manpower formula. Thing is, the reinforcement cost is in line with bolster, which they are expected to have 100% of the games. Also there is one, maybe two axis squads who do NOT have that mp reduction, so I don't think single units across 3 allied factions having it due to sniper vulnerability is any problem. Well, maxim would just deathloop without even suppressing a single squad. Let me remind you that a singular squad can frontally crawl up to it and nuke it with nade, there is even clip around from last month showing exactly this. HMG42 is superior to others. Superior to others does not mean invincible, others would just be sniped before suppressing anything. There is also this thing called critical mass, where a single HMG will just not work anymore. Seeking sniped just to show how broken sections are. 1st game was on kholodny ferma where miragefla got destroyed by sections spam, 2nd game on Eindhoven where he got blobbed to death all game long and Ost could not trade well at any stage. If sections are supposedly so broken on their own, why the need for all these upgrades, positioning, grenades and doctrinal ability on top of having overwhelming force advantage in that situation against unupgraded and wounded force? Why did they needed everything I've mentioned if sections alone are so strong? As I've said, any other faction would achieve the same here, approaching supported by DPS boosting doc ability, shitload of upgrades, used grenades and so on vs a force that didn't even used a single ability and repositioned perfectly positioned HMG before it even suppressed everything. There is literally nothing to argue there. And regarding the 222, how 1 222 at long range against 8 squads on top of each other proves me wrong, when I've said 2 222s and situation at hand was 2 separate groups? 222s AI potency rises greatly up close and there isn't really any reason to stay away from tommies, so you didn't exactly delivered counter argument, just exaggeration of what I've said. Versus 3 stock grens and 2 MG42s. I wouldn't count medic and pyro upgrades as they didn't contribute anything. There still is overwehelming force difference and there was doctrinal buff ability used too. To put that in tank combat setting, its like expecting 3 ATGs to stop Churchill croc and 3 KV-8s. Imo good way to change them could be make them more combat oriented infantry, pretty much conscripts for usf. They could kedp sweeper, but possibility to funcrion as weaker mainline is possibility. I'd argue that specifically because of vehicle crews, their main role never was repairing. Relic probably intended them to use FPs more then they are now, but for that, unupgraded ones are too expensive and go down to small arms fire. There could be pretty nice things done if FPs were 50mp and HMG upgrade covered remaining mp+muni cost. In: COH2 Balance

I just don't get what's wrong with this clip I've been watching volks and grens nade maxims from the front for years with a much smaller numbers advantage Wounded axis force worth of half menpower didn't beat allied force being buffed by ability and greatly outnumbering them. If 1000mp of axis units can't beat 2400mp of allied units, its a balance problem, totally not anything else, 100% balance problem. In: COH2 Balance

If you take a moment, you will notice a certain spinning symbol above their heads, it means a doctrinal ability was used and they now deal at least 25% more damage(25% or more DPS to be exact, I've long forgotten in what state this ability is atm) and if you take additional effort, you will see they have bolster upgrade on them, going up against vanila WOUNDED grens and 2 HMGs, 1 was completely off position. e: And why did right side MG suddenly decided to stop suppressing whole blob and reposition, giving them time to recover?
