It feels like you only post comments here but never played the game I'd love to see your leaderboards. Just wondering, has nothing to do with the topic. These 15k posts were made over 8 years, vast majority when I was at work at old job. It does add up, check how many vipper has and how short comparably he is here. My ranks got hidden again as I've sunk myself in Factorio a wee bit too much recently, but pre that I raked around ~300 in 2v2 RT. My last uploaded replay is from last month I believe and I do have a history of being matched and winning now and then against very high ranking players(but you aren't going to be able to check these replays anymore). Skill-wise I would place myself around IncendiaryRounds considering ranks alone, just for 2s. In: COH2 Gameplay

(since it is already getting relaod bonus at vet 2) It doesn't need accuracy, it helps exclusively against vehicles, reload helps against everything. In: COH2 Balance

Tech cost calculations have been posted at least 3-4 times already. UKF can save resources by not going for side techs. Total tech cost (with side techs) as well as tech cost to mediums (with reasonable side techs) is similar for all factions in fuel but also not too far off in MP. If you add the costs for side tech to the price of IS you get cheaper overall teching. But both of this is pretty arbitrary. Ullu argues that fully upgraded IS cost less then obers. They clearly do not. As you said, side techs can be skipped, but they also affect one unit exclusively(ok, we can argue bolster on REs), so side tech inflates cost of the unit it supports. We're not talking tech costs, we're talking specifically value of fully upgraded IS vs upgraded obers. In: COH2 Balance

Assumptions: meta 4 squads, unrealistic assumption that all IS start at 5 man and you don't need that extra 28mp for at the very least 3 squads That means: 370mp +90 muni +15fu investment on per squad basis with meta 4 squads of IS. Realistically add at least 20 muni per squad for mekits or pyrotechnics. Obers are 340 + how much was LMG? 80 or 60? Teching is a matter of timing of the unit, not its actual cost, so stop running face first against that wall, you aren't going to break it. In no world upgraded IS are cheaper then obers and mathematically, you're as wrong as it can humanely get. In: COH2 Balance

Their STG 44 gives them a brief power spike, their assault package makes them cheap ass grens. They suffer in the late game, even with Vet 5. But hopefully, you're Vet 2 Obers with MG34's/IR STG are on the field to own ass. Something I wish they sort of had was a stock Faust with no flame grenade, then when you upgrade them, they gain a flame nade but lose the faust. Would give OKW a much needed snare against lights without being too OP. Lack of early snare is intended given how they just roll over soviet early game unless M3 is used. With no flame nade they have no early game counter to garrisons at all. In: COH2 Gameplay

The cost decrease was not given to match their performance. It was an overreaction from the balance team (an overbuff). Because if the sections were completely fine, why would the allied biased balance team bother to nerf sections again (bolster timing)? Whos dog you are?
