Any replays to back up the claim?
As far as I know projectiles can not score collision hits with infatry entities.
Source: A failed attempt of having it overshoot 2 squads by having them hug its front, leading to direct hit that also got st itself in the blast. |
Sturmtiges has problems with height differences, shooting shorter than indicated.
It also has projectile collision, if there will be even 1 infantry model on its way, it'll explode on it. |
This is literally your exact attitude 90% of the time you post
No one said ppshs are amazing. Not me. Not vipper. We have simply said they aren't as bad as OP is suggesting, and that giving SIX of them to cons without any tuning is a bad suggestion
Stop making shit up
1) Neither I am saying they should be 6 man, I've already said what could help them without making them no-brainer choice.
2) You have missed my point like B-4 misses max range target. |
Smoke is only better if your in the cone of the mg. Sprint is objectively better in pretty much every other situation, and it helps for snaring too
You... never used it against LMG squads sitting behind green cover?
You are going to lose less health then with oorah, because both squads don't do damage on approach.
Only shocks can allow themselves to just walk up to regular inf without bleed and without that kind of help. |
Huh? I was talking about why we don't see mp40s that much and how that example doesnt compare to a soviet player choosing ppshs
Oorah allows you to overcome that. And if it's 2v2 or more, your muni income will be much more stable
Smoke nades which MP40 grants also allow you to overcome that potential bleed you know. |
Volks have stgs available at the same time, cons need to wait til t4 and we all know how fun vanilla cons against stgs volks is until 7 man arrives
That's just for 1v1.
In 2v2 dynamic, volks will still bleed you with impunity unless you go SVT, unless opponent is stupid and allows you to freely close in, its also much more managable there to hold out until 7th man, which is incomparably stronger and more viable then ppsh while benefiting much more from HTD offered by ppsh slot. |
That would make them "too viable" IMO, though muni intensive. The upgrade would be good just because it has a normal nade rather than the weapon itself. It would be a matter if you can afford it or not, which would just push the upgrade on been better in the late game. Something which is not necessarily the problem nowadays with Soviets.
Feels like it would be a "snowball" upgrade. As long as you have munitions and the map lead, you will see PPSH cons oorahing and throwing nades.
Grenades and balance walks through a slim line. Been able to have an ability which suddenly is able to wipe a squad is powerful. Specially on a 6 man squad with sprint.
I can't see how it would be "too viable" given this is the exact thing volk MP40s get and we don't see all of the volks being upgraded because of that.
Also, it would be incredibly unsustainable, map control or not, given at least 30 nade cost and oorah cost.
However even stun nade would do. |
Regarding stuka, honestly dont know why ppl are complaing about it, since its not THAT good, considering you can hear where its gonna drop and you have plenty of time doudge it. And against howitzers pretty much all expensice arty is gonna rek them.
Stuka commanders also have recon run.
Couple that with ele and the fact that ML-20 can severely damage or at least zone ele and you'll understand why its cancer combo. |
The Katyusha is better for that sort of thing than the Pwerfer, honestly. The Katyusha (Especially close) has a far faster time-on-target for the initial burst of damage than the Werfer.
In case of both, if you do not react the same half a second you hear it, you've lost whatever it was targeting.
In Katy case, it got bit less time, but area is much smaller if you're close enough, in pwerfer case, you can move a bit, you'll still be wiped, unless targetted thing was non weapon team that instantly retreated. |
Regarding Spios and Pgrens, neither of those are mainlines. Particularly not Spios.
I realise someone else has already mentioned this, but I think it's worth reiterating.
Just because you don't have half a dozen of X unit on field, does not mean it should be ignored, its a stock unit, its a meta unit, its in every, single competitive game AND it arrives before PPSH as well.
You can close your eyes all you want, it won't make it disappear.
It might be a shocker to some of theorycrafters here, but game is not a set of 1v1s non microed units on a flat map with stripes painted on it. |
