You would like it more if it stayed there without infantry cover and get in soviet players hands? |
ML-20 howitzer and ISU also use same weapon, yet I don't see ISU having 250 range.
Osttruppen and Obersoldaten also both use Kar98 rifles.
Same weapon as well for paratroopers and RETs.
SU-76 for some reason isn't as awesome as ZiS-3 in AT despite using exactly the same model of 76mm gun.
Why partisan LMG42 does only 50% of gren LMG42? Its same weapon.
List goes on and on. |
If you have access to doctrinal G43's, you can now equip Pgrens with two shrecks (120 muni) and two G43's (40 muni).
Now why you would want a squad with Shrecks and G43's beats me, unless they adjusted the Pgren G43's? Also they are 5 munitions cheaper, but only on Pgrens.
Colour me confused.
They always could.
Only normal grens need to choose, because with both upgrade they were AI powerhouses for merely 240mp and even shocks struggled. |
Ever considered the possibility that its not balance, but maybe, juuuust maybe you had wrong BO and got outplayed? |
Well, these grens come with LMG.
I like the doctrine, it got a nice feel to it.
MHT was removed likely because it would overlap with already existing doctrine(s) offering both these units and relic probably wanted to give out 250 without the need to buy the doctrine with it. |
OKW have extremely potent repairs without giving anything up for it and on top of that, free repair station on cheapest in game tier building unlike all other armies which have no such convinience, you might want to attempt to compare it to USF, but they don't have super heavy armor they could bring up to full health in no time. |
It's faction's architecture. Look at the repair unit. Expensive price, expensive reinforcement, takes forever to reinforce. It's supposed to do a better job I guess. The T3 repairs are other thing, but soviets get this too with their repair stations. They are doctrinal though. Also, USF has 2 repair units. Crew and Rear Echalon. And crew it's doing a pretty good job.
Last time I've checked, sov rep stations were not stock buildings and they belong to a doctrine that makes it impossible to maintain any infantry army and get armor-you can do only one of these and even that won't go good on the long run, they are a must have for the doctrine to be working[and even then its bad], not a convenience stuff that OKW gets for free with tech.
USFs crews repair slower then any other unit, but keep the mobility of the armor up. |
While I've responded to you, some parts of it are in general.
Its still applicable to your arguments. |
because 70 fuel is now lost at the start
So? You have made a bad decision, you was punished for it, especially if you knew there might be mines, because if you see M20 you have to anticipate them. Its not like allies get back their fuel when early stuart, M15 or T-70 drives over teller and I suppose you consider that fine and balanced?
Its not really an argument, this thread is all about "I'm bad and I shouldn't be punished in any way for it as axis". |
Other-if Sov needs redesign or not is completely irrelevant as this is something that will never happen outside of community mods, we can at best pray that relic will pull their heads out of their asses and acknowledge faction core problem, which is complete lack of reliability of all tiers except T2 and forced critical dependence on doctrine choices, which limits them to only a couple, while all other factions, thanks to potent and self sufficient core army can take liberty of playing literally any doctrine and still be potent, meanwhile choosing 'wrong' doctrine as soviet pretty much equals to conceding.
Couple that with "its axis therefore it needs to be superior even if it was vastly inferior due to reasons" complex and you've got a faction that is doomed to not being able to fight directly at all and always be forced to use gimmicky strats and units. |
