Maybe when Soviet have Mobilize Reserves, reduce reinforcement cost for weapon team should be passive like Ost T4 passive,at least it already for Penal in test mod
Its exclusively maxim issue, other team weapons have correct crew reinforce costs.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Maxim dominates because of it's huge squad sizes it needs the reinforcement cost. If you are losing 6 men without retreating before a 4 man squad then that is your own fault. This is a l2p issue nothing more. Maxim dominates nothing and last time it did was well over 2 years ago. 4 digit rank players like you are dominated by anything and everything, so its irrelevant what makes you feel dominated. So, during dark reign of maxim, one of the changes it got was increased reinforce cost that inflated value of default crew as another attempt to stop our god of suppression from ripping you a new one. Now, years and countless nerfs later Maxim is in so bad state that its getting buffs for quite some time and it still is inadequate at best. Given its current state and (lack of) place in game and meta, I believe we can revert that nerf. Maxim is no longer dominating unit for years now and conscripts and penals would have to be removed from the faction for it to be spammed in any way again. Given that context, I don't believe it is fair for it to still have its increased reinforcement price and given how it still lacks, this might be the change it needs without changing its performance. Since the patch is focusing on stock armies, we could easily fit this small change in as at this point, increased reinforcement cost for maxim is nothing more but unfair, unjust and most of all - completely unneeded. Current cost is 20. All other team weapons reinforce for 15. In: COH2 Balance |

I guess it never bothered you why you see various top players playing all the different factions and strats on ranked, but exclusively single dominant top tier meta strat on tournaments with prizes and the closer to finals, the tighter it becomes? I highly advise you to check former tournaments, compare their metas and corelate the units used with nerfs on following patches. In: COH2 Balance |

This entire playlist didn't have an lmg gren. When stakes are high, players will not use balanced units, they will use as OP units as possible to give themselves an edge. Would you like me to tell you why osttruppen are getting nerfed this patch, while gren stats remain unchanged? In: COH2 Balance |

Top players appear to be pretty in consensus from what I've seen that regular Grens aren't good enough on their own, rather than the replacement options being overpowered. That is incorrect. There is just as many top players thinking grens are bad as the ones who think they are fine and alternatives are OP. I've already posted a proof of that earlier. In: COH2 Balance |

They are not comparable -directly-. You can't compare units cross faction without context of the faction. StuG is not going to have same support and doctrinal abilities as SU-76 and that affects performance already. You don't compare TDs based on other TDs, unless its another TD within the same faction. You compare TDs based on what they fight, what they are supposed to fight and if they do it within the reasonable bracket allowed by their cost, timing and scaling. And it does not go for just TDs, but for all units. This is why, for example, cons and grens are not equals at all stages of the game. Or why you don't base HMG performance on the results of HMG duels. Or why you don't say that ZiS is superior to PaK40, because ZiS kills it easily. Being able to perform a task beside your main obligation is literally utility. Otherwise laying mines, building sand bags, barbed wire and whatnot are not utility because "its units design of dual role that is with it since day 1". Eh, I can concede that argument. We gonna ignore weapons powerful at all distances making them the only squad that is not reliant on camo to actually work? Did you already forgot they are so powerful against infantry that they don't even start with all of them and they needed to lose pfaust so at least vehicles can approach on them safely? It was balanced by allied early game infantry advantage becoming so small. Ost is no longer disadvantaged in the early game. That design is gone for 3 years at least. Point remain that "grenadier is cheapest mainline myth" in not true and even it was true it would mean very little very little because grenadier are so cost inefficient on their own. Thus it would allot better if people stop repeating in every thread. You can repeat it as many times as you want. It will be just as incorrect every single time. Oh, and grenadiers were NEVER intended to be efficient on their own. Every single time period where they were is known as period when they were OP, starting March deployment patch and ending on VSL live implementation. If you want to spam mainline inf and succeed, do NOT play ost, they were never intended to do it. In: COH2 Balance |

Stop comparing incomparable units forcefully. There is no very strong med tank standing behind SU-76 while there are Panthers, Brummbars and stock 230+ armor meds complimenting JP4 and StuGs. Units are NOT balanced against their archetypes in opposing factions, they are balanced around the faction they are WITHIN. SU-76 and StuG stats could not be any less relevant to JP balance. Su-76 has utility, mobility and price on its side while JP has Armor/HP/damage on it side. I don't think you know what utility means, because SU-76 has none on preview. If you mean barrage, its not utility, its units design of dual role that is with it since day 1 and no amount of wordplay and semantic spinning from you will ever change that. In: COH2 Balance |
