It would be nice though, if right-clicking a scout-car with a sniper would actually target the garrisoned models instead of the vehicle.

no sniper teams plox... change the soviet sniper team into 1 man sniper and VOILAAA, you have some fareness in the sniper battles.

This really is a 2 V 2+ issue more than anything as its an exploit that simply can not be easily countered when one of the 2 team players is spamming snipers - get 3 or 4 snipers up and that's essentially GG for any form of infantry based unit - the other races to get up some armor and it's over.
The upcoming 2 v 2 tournament will be a landslide Soviet win and will also expose a lot of the short comings of the "balance" we currently see now with Soviet exploits in team games.
Then again - this game seems to think over powering one faction for say T1 and then having the other faction over powering in the later portion of the game as "balance" - basically ensuing that a "typical" soviet team will control the beginning of the game and then the Wehrmacht team will "come back" with their dominant Panthers etc with only 20 on the VP clock - trying to artificially create "cliff hanger" type games.
It doesn't work.
It's not fun.
It's not balance.
an easy way to defeat soviets snipers, is using osttruppen spam, believe me, they will retreat all the time, unless they work together with maxim or cons spam, but your partner can help you with mg42 and mortar |

I'd like to start off with, i'm not advocating right off the bat that this commander is OP, I have not played enough games in this patch or watched enough to definitively say that. Besides, i'm not a top player, so I tend to reserve judgement on balance as there is always room for me to improve. What i'm arguing below is that the advanced warfare commander is a very strong commander who is an obvious choice on almost all maps, and that is bad for gameplay.
You can select advanced warfare tactics from the very beginning of a match as soviets and be confident that it has all the tools you'll require to be competitive in a 1v1 situation. I would go as far as to say, it is the clear obvious choice, a no brainer and this is what makes it a poorly designed commander. For all the variety of commanders in the game, when one or two choices stand out as more obvious selections, it means less variety in real terms for the players. Simply put,a majority of players will pick what they perceive as most advantageous to them, so you end up playing with and facing the same stuff over and over. Which gets boring and will eventually drive players away if there is a perception that the options to play with and against are limited.
See the Elite troops commander as an example of this, in the last patch.
I'd argue the advanced warfare tactics commander is a case of an obvious and safe choice , no one part of the doctrine singularly makes it very strong, it is rather the synergy between everything in the doctrine that makes it a powerful and perhaps even, "no brainer" option from the soviet commanders. Radio intercept helps you to make the right decisions when selecting a tech route and getting counters to your opponent units composition. PPsh and con repair allows you to apply pressure throughout the game, the call in single T43-85 compliments your tech choice completely,whether you go T3 or T4 and the single strafe run whilst not overly powerful, is a solid AOE call in.
So in summary, i'd argue this commander is the standout choice as Soviets, thus reducing the effective available options in the game for players, which will eventually create dissatisfaction among the player-base and so it imo requires a readjustment in the next patch or the other commanders require an adjustment to bring them in line, whenever that is.

Correction: the soviet sniper is a problem for all Germans that don't know how to deal with it. G43s, riflenade, and tactical counter sniping is far too hard i guess.
I dont see the problem with countersniping. Put german sniper in cover. Bait soviet sniper with gren, after soviet fires kill one sniper, restealth before soviet can fire back. Rinse and repeat until you hit vet 1. At vet one use thr ability to either immediatly frag both soviet snipers or use the stun time to kill the second one of the ability didnt kill him.
Is this hard?
If hes in a scout car hes even easier to countersnipe becsuse the soviet cant target his snipers (however as of the last time i played the bug still seems to be in effect that prevents the second soviet sniper in scout car from ever being sniped which needs fixing). However regardless of that. Use upgunned scout car to destroy clown fsr and hunt down sniper. If he goes guards you go something with smoke so you can instantly break button and give yourself enough cover from the guards to take down the clown car.
If you refute these ways of dealing with them because hes hugging his clown car with cons and guards then i suggest you cap the rest of the map and avoid his 900+ manpower blob. And if that is too micro intensive then I recommend maybe this game isn't for you and you're wasting your time playing a game for which you don't have the necessary microing skills. And I don't mean that in a bad way ... I'm terrible at sports games, so I don't play them. It's just common sense
