COH2.org is a fan site, although they have relations with the devs, so even if they let you "go public" as you say, what's the point? may be even schrecks, bazookas, and ptrs should have ability to make it only shoot at vehicles.
I agree, or only a HOLD FIRE for the AT model only. Right now when I engage with Schreks/Zookas and the enemy is microing their armored unit well, I have to constantly order my AT units to move so they won't waste the rocket on infantry, and I lose AI firepower. |
Let's be honest first, you played really badly.
1- You move your engineer squad to his cutoff and while cutting his sector, you build a mine in the road.
2- His reaction would be to move his blob, or to split it to recover his cutoff
3.1 He moves all his squads, you follow him and harass. Looking for protection we would probably have hit the mine with some of his units. Maybe retreat after that, maybe GG insulting you of how cheater you are.
3.2 He moves half of his squads, you rape the remaining with your penal, he would probably retreat them and you rush for his cutoff, chasing the other half, he hits the mine, maybe retreat, maybe GG insulting you of how cheater you are.
This, and the part about insulting you got me good.
Remember that we have two kinds of blobbing, tactical blobbing (exactly what Rome says) and idiotic blobbing. Most players use the latter one, meaning they just create a huge blob and roam around the map. If they do this you have two options, one is to try and suppress them with MG (you will need a spotter of course) and one is to cap the map/cut offs and build mines/demo charges as exile said. |
So you mean I have to select a doctrine to counter heavy vehicles as Soviet, one of the most basic features of the game?
Did I say that? This thread is not about the calling meta and the performance of stock units bro. And yes, you have to rely on a doctrine to counter heavy axis units most of the time, and that's messed up too and needs to get fixed. |

FHQ which seems to be point of the thread isn't one of the most basic features.
And yea, nades, infiltration nades, AA HT, all of them handle buildings quickly.
Well I thought the main post was about buildings in general, but decent players dodge nades easily and Flak HT is not that good against garrisoned units. |

I think they should remove button, buff their penetration by a lot, and remove the dp upgrade (maybe put it on penals with no button). I feel like guards should be the soviet's infantry based AT option which are vulnerable to AI. Currently they're more like an AI squad that protects sniper openings from scout cars and then proceeds to hand over weapons for the rest of the game.
That's exactly the point. They are support troops to guard your snipers and team weapons early game, and they have good utility to help your other units (Zis, SU88 etc.) finish off even heavy tanks. Kind of jack of all trades.
Guards are fine as they are, the problem is Soviets do not have good core infantry, Cons simply die like flies and don't scale well, and penal are... well they are penals. |
10 muni Infiltration Grenades and people are still complaining about the lack of anti building as OKW...

I beg to differ dear sir. For 360 I find them useful. I think you expect them to go toe to toe with Ubersoldaten or kill a panther for you, well that's not gonna happen. Use them as support units, they do quit well against light and even medium armor. |
1) "RECONNECT FUNCTION" please... pretty please... I BEG YOU.
2) UI improvements/mechanics:
-Control over garrisoned MGs (and Raketen).
-Manual reload for MGs.
-vehicle turret lock/prioritizing for every vehicle.
-HE/AT shells indicator.
-A lot more which can be found in forums.
3) Better vehicle pathing. Last night I lost a freaking KT just because the dump garden decided to rotate the whole vehicle with reverse gear.
4)Minor bug fixes (retreat bug, ghost howitzer bug etc) and better frame rate.
