I haven't used it more than once or twice but I have heard that the vet ability is potent vs OKW HQ trucks. Its not. The spread/accuracy is huge and youll be lucky if ONE shell actually hits the truck. Youd be better off saving the munitions towards more M1919s. And light vehicles? a direct hit to a kubel wont kill it. Its needs to be way way more accurate,or free. In: COH2 Gameplay

USF spends 90+-125+125+125=465 to shut down tigers...twice as much as one tiger FUEL wise...let's not talk about USF mp bleed in comparison. 2 jacksons isn't spam, no matter what was burned into your heads, and 3 basically says "I have NO AI except a big meaty rifle blob" SO BUILD 2 PAKS, POINT YOUR MGs at the rifle blobs,once the blob retreats, bind your PAKS to control group 1, bind tiger to control group 2, and A MOVE the Jacksons.. and creep forwards until you're at USF BASE. Use tiger to wipe stupid wandering rifle squads that try to kill your PAKS, because nothing short of soviet arty or infantry flanks will ever kill PAKS. If there's Jackson spam there's no priest There's no Sherman There's nothing to stop you, except a soviet player supporting with godly Stalin artillery... Which isn't a problem with the Jackson per say.... More like good synergy between Sov And USF. I'm not gonna talk about OP ost+ OKW combinations though. In: COH2 Gameplay

Hell if microing tiger and pak is such hardcore micro for you then buy an elefant. /thread really. To seriously sit there and act like nothing but Jackson spam can even peek at a tiger pak wall without getting wrecked in return is just rank 10,000.000 QQ or trolling. If there's pathfinders spotting, P47 AND mark vehicle zooming overahead, rifles flanking PaKs, and Jackson firing flawlessly from max range with vet1 HVAP then you're being flat out outplayed. L2P. BEFORE. MAKING. BALANCE. THREADS. How is Jackson spam even a legit complaint... Threads like this are getting disgusting. In: COH2 Gameplay

I usually play defensively when playing OKW, but that's probably part of my problem (53% win rate in 1v1 after about 40 games since last patch). Is there anyplace where someone has strategies that work for Langreskaya? I've lost on it almost every time when starting on the top. You only need 1 fuel and half the map for 4-5 mins to rush a Luchs Just set up med truck near fuel or between cutoff and fuel... Preferably behind those buildings .(hopefully you know what I'm talking about) Then just hold on for dear life until T4 which you should probably set up near those buildings as well, then poop out the Luchs. If it helps you gain more map then it's not slowing down anything, you're paying to net more resources. If that guy had any sense he would've gotten an MG up there ASAP and totally locked you down because he had total control of the buildings near your cutoff. With AAHT you just have to be careful of tight spaces messing with pathing and allowing you to get Fausted...and predict when a pak will Appear... It's one of those things you get better with using it over time. You also don't buy it every game, but you buy it to punish an extended T1 opening or assgren spam. But if you're comfy with M20 that's fine too... Better to spend 20 fuel using something you know how to use rather than 60 on something you have no clue how to use. In: Replay Reviews

You kinda sleezed on the left side for the first few minutes After you wiped all those squads and started seeing ass gren spam on langres of all maps....AA halftrack all the way. You earned the right to pwn him with AA Ht with all those squad wipes Shoulda just went armor company when you saw STUG E and got multiple M10(s) into dozer instead of spending 325 fuel on major sherman and jackson In: Replay Reviews

Both are fragile and die to a stiff breeze. Both require god like micro to vet up and use properly,and in bigger team modes are ESSENTIAL. The pack howi comes with the extreme disadvantage of not having an MG to support it unless you go LT as well which sets you back 50 smackaroos. Or you can blob and protect it but thats not really viable against dem pros. Or against Dat walking stuka(or panzerwerfer Dat LEIG has the glorious benefit of having a Battlegroupe HQ and MG34 with dem shoe mines and reinforced wire for protection and reinforcement,even if it gets nuked by a katyusha. If anything the LEIG is OP compared to tha pack howie. In: COH2 Balance

I looked around and couldn't find anything recently, so I made a thread. With that out of the way, on to my questions. Sadly, I have no replays on hand that I can link here for specific analysis. this is more of a general problem. so if anyone wanted to get a general idea of my skill level/ability, here is my player card: http://www.coh2.org/ladders/playercard/steamid/76561198031861039 I understand Ostheer is pretty weak in the early game, and I am a bit undecisive/confused about what would be the best method to survive the early game and set myself up for a good mid game. 1. Capping order I understand as Ost you really want to make sure you hold at least one fuel/muni point, but my question pertains more to HOW you go about capping. Do you use your precious grenadiers to cap points? or do you keep them together to support each other and defend your fuel/muni/cutoff/HMG early and just let your pio do the capping. I've experimented with several different ways to go about doing this but I can't tell what is more efficient. capping order really depends on the faction you're fighting against and the map.. If it's USF on Kharkov you'll probably want your pio nearby to spot for and assist your MG... If it's soviets on Langreskaya you'll probably want the pio capping the fuel and a gren pair capping the cutoffand munitions.. Really depends. 2. Engagements Another thing I really struggle with, not just with Ostheer but all factions in the early game, is determining when/where and how long to stay around in the first few opening engagements. often I feel I stick around in fights that I have no reason or ability to win, and it cost me in heavy MP bleed. If this question is a bit confusing, basically what I'm asking is when is it better to soft retreat and give ground/lose maybe one model rather than just full on retreating. soft retreat if you have an MG,or reinforce point nearby... And get the hell out of there ASAP if you feel you can't win or monitor engagement. In: Ostheer Strategies
Thread: Resources Question 29 May 2015, 11:01 AM Also Manpower income is tied to how much popcap you're using, so the more popcap heavy units you have, the more your manpower income will slow. That's why having all 3 officers + 3-4 squads of infantry + vehicles as USF,or 2 tigers and a decent amount of infantry as ostheer is tough to maintain. Your manpower income will be crippled.(also called Bleeding out) In: COH2 Gameplay
