Penals 320 agrens 300 Keep in mind that Grenadiers have 1.5 Armour, while Penals have 1.0 (i.e. none). Thread: How was your free weekend?22 Jan 2014, 07:48 AM I had fun, I was only there for Friday due to a busy weekend though. I played around with Irregulars for a couple games before my teammates told me they were free.. After that I switched to Partisans, had fun with them although their use is limited after the first call-in. Played a bit of Urban Defense Tactics but I'm no good with it, Partisans were more fun despite their limited use. I also played with the Osttruppen Commander, the guys are amazingly weak, but they make a good cheap rear-echelon unit. I also played Elite Troops commander, I'm bad at it and typically struggle, but the Tiger Ace instantly turns the game around. I took on 2 T-34's and an SU-85 and came out with barely a scratch, 126 kills by the end of one game. In: Lobby

Personally, I feel like Penal Troops are more akin to Assault Grenadiers, since both units trade their AT ability for increase base AI. Since Assault Grenadiers are 320 Manpower, 300 seems like an okay price for Penals (or for both, actually). In: COH2 Gameplay

Or rather, T4 is terrible in 1v1. I think the cost of teching to T4 should come down. The units in T4 may then be increased in price slightly to compensate. How would that fix it? That makes it more expensive in the long run. And by long run I mean if you intend to build more than one unit from it. In: COH2 Balance

I don't remember the mp cost for the partisan call ins but maybe the cost would also have to be increased. I think it was 120 for basic, 240 for AT. They have good weapons, better than Conscripts, but survivability-wise (per-model) they're on-par with Osttruppen at best. Personally I want an ability to refund partisans at the cost-per model, you'd get the reinforcement cost back. That way you can call in more from another place to continue behind the lines work. The problem with Partisans for me, was that as said above, once retreated, they just require an upgrade and then become part of your Army, since there's not a lot they can do behind the lines, let alone get there. Or you should start playing some lottery asap. Statistically unlikely, but not impossible. Hell, it's theoretically possible for American Engineers to beat Vet 3 MP 44 Stormtroopers. But only theoretically, the dice-rolls required for that to happen are so unlikely it'd be a universal anomaly, like a billion to one (maybe exaggerated, but you get the idea). Statistically, the IS-2 should have won. Looking at the numbers, it would have taken 3 hits for the IS-2 to kill the weakened Panther. Assuming it is attacking the Panther's heavy frontal armour, there's a 60% chance to penetrate. The Panther on the other hand has to land 6 penetrating hits on a full health IS-2, with a 50% chance to penetrate. In other words, that Panther should have been dead twice over, the only reason it survived was by RNG. In: COH2 Balance

And satchel price is fair because it inflicts some devastating damage to both vehicles and infantry. They do. Anyway, I think 300MP and Bazooka upgrade (which is more my personal wish than a concrete suggestion) would be fair. In: COH2 Gameplay
