SU-76 needs a health increase to 400, a damage increase to 160, and a cooldown reduction on Barrage. After that, it can be fine-tuned further if necessary.
The most pressing matter is the health though, it's extremely fragile to the point where it can not safely take on an Ostwind by itself. |

Making the CPV very good against infantry by giving it the same gun as the PIV would probably result in it being spammed more, and used a lot more than it is now.
It would have less AI than a Sherman with AP loaded, it wouldn't be too bad. You wouldn't be able to use it as an all-seeing tank hunter that also buffs other tanks if it had a weaker turret. |

I'd say maybe consider removing the crush ability like they did with the T-70. It's insane crushing is a side-effect of it's speed, and we cannot take away it's speed. |
I'd prefer a SU-100, SU-85 is uber outdated in COH2's time frame
You know CoH2 takes place in late 1944 to early 1945, and the SU-85 was still the mainstay of Soviet Tank Destroyers. The SU-100 on the other hand was only first introduced in October 1944, so it'd best be portrayed as a sort of Elefant-lite, good gun, but also mobile. |

So suddenly from all the realism, design, doctrinal style etc.. reasons it comes down to the only argument that they just don't appeal to you.
No, the reasoning is that their ground forces did not have the strength to go toe-to-toe with the Soviet Union or the United States. They were a Naval power and an Air power, but they did not do armoured warfare well. In CoH2 they could have an early-game, and a weakened mid-game, but they would have zero late-game. How would they face off against E8's, 85mm's, let alone IS-2's? |
