So, all you judges out there, can you please begin compiling a list of 9 maps each (3 1vs1 maps, 3 2vs2 maps, and 3 large maps) that you would like to see move onto the final of the competition. So, it turns out that the shot blockers that have been imported over from vCoH's WorldBuilder do not function in the same way that they should. What they were designed for was to block all shot weapons (not including grenades, which can go through and over ANY object), but now the mechanics of changed: tanks and AT guns can fire through objects with Attack Ground, which means that they can circumvent the blockers. However they will still work to prevent infantry firing through. I'm afraid that there is no way to stop this besides using Sight Blockers instead, to prevent units knowing that the enemy is on the other side of the blocker. Also, please ensure that you have not assigned a blocker to a team! It must be neutral! In: Guides

So, we've touched on something that I too have had some problems with. Relic has a very minimalistic design on many of its maps (because often, less is more), but once you have something along the lines of Karelia, there is more detail (even if I do say so myself), which complicates things. I am looking for a way to increase the "visual steepness" of the impassible cliffs, and changing the passible cliffs to appear passible. Any ideas? Also, I'm working on the land bridge as we speak! Thread: (6 - 8) Lake Zaverez11 Apr 2014, 18:10 PM Hello Deer! (Hurr) I have to say, you've really caught my eye with this map! What you've created is graphically sound in many places, and brings an interestingly new concept to the table! However, I do have some advice that I hope you would consider: Be aware of the amount of groves you use on your map. If you want a dense forest, only use groves if you want to block access. Considering that this is a large map, intended for between 6 and 8 players, you want as much access across the map as possible. With this in mind, please also ensure that your forests have large enough spaces for light vehicles to pass (as they cannot knock down trees), and that there is enough room between groves for tanks. You've focussed on Ice, which is great! But I would definitely ensure that you adapt the centre of your map in some way. As Ice cannot have territory points on it, it needs to offer some form of tactical advantage. Try using the ice tool to weaken or even temporarily remove some of the ice from the lake for the early stages of the game. This ice will freeze over with time, but for the beginning will limit the teams to using the land or the frozen areas. Finally, I would take another looks at your atmosphere settings. You have made some great shadowing and reflective snow, but your sunlight seems a little dark! I would suggest adding some tones of blue to add a really "cold" chill to the map! Great work so far!
