Thread: Relic: Brits srsly needs nerf16 Feb 2016, 19:31 PM
I bought the Brits two days ago... it took me 10 games and now I´m Nr. 6 2vs2 Brits random team. This is because of the way the ranking system works, it has nothing to do with balance. @Karbinder you are not reading the forums closely, there is literally a wall of posts about how OP the AEC is for Wehr because it forces AT gun, and this from a faction with fausts. Imagine if they didn't. You are incorrect, no problem, but you are getting aggressive. Ignore Katitof if you like, but he is right here. Also forcing you to get an AT gun is a win in and of itself, because now I can invest another 320 MP into infantry which you will be hard pressed to deal with, because your gun won't do anything. If you get overrun I also just made +5 fuel. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Nerf the panzerwerfer already16 Feb 2016, 17:37 PM
The Pwerfer is overperforming for sure, not least of which is its ability to deal with units in garrison far too effectively. Its very concept is a squad wiping machine, and this I dislike. The unit has no counterplay, either it hits and wipes or it doesn't and you survive to try again. It should do damage over a longer period of time to help players have obvious counterplay to it. To compensate cool downs or AoE could be increased, etc. to make it lethal when it does. It is also able to pair very well with the Arty officer, and help to saturate areas, especially late game as vps are ticking down. In: COH2 Balance |

This is incorrect. This is why the AEC was buffed. Prior to it Brits had so little mid-game they would get rolled by even the most lackluster of strategies. The AEC, while it is painful, will be brought in line with other units soon. When this happens I fully expect a range of buffs and nerfs to help the Brits during the mid-game. Did we all forget that prior to AEC buff Brits were being eaten alive by Luchs? One wrong retreat and you could end up with no army, that is not fun, that is not fair, and that should not be part of the game. In: COH2 Balance |

Bugs aside, which I think should be fixed of course, the issue is not the effectiveness of the Stuka that you point to it is the AoE of the P47's. In order to prevent them from gibbing every infantry unit in the game when they miss their rockets have teenie tiny AoE. I agree with you that the P47 cost is unfair based on its current performance. I still don't think that means the Stuka should be altered, other than to address the alarming bug that allows it to loiter for much, much longer than it should. In: COH2 Balance |

I think it was +15 range, which is now reverted to +5 range at vet 1. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Zis gun not moveable15 Feb 2016, 18:55 PM
I have not tried, but was told by another player his AT guns were getting stuck simply by touching a building with the AT gun itself. This was unrelated to the stun grenade. In: COH2 Bugs |

I wish this had been posted sooner so we could talk about it more before the patch notes are released. In any case some things in your post are really good OP, but your changes to emplacements make them nearly useless. For instance, the 15 pop cap for a 17 pdr does nothing when it is still hard countered by the JT (it outranges the emplacement!). To top it off the 17 pdr costs fuel, takes damage from everything, leaves a noticeable splat in FoW, and is killed and never decrewed. The gun needs more than being 1/2 as good as the pak 43. The mortar pit, I generally agree with you, too effective but a high risk high reward. It needs both nerfs and buffs to be brought in line. A straight nerf to the Boffers is kinda crazy though. If the Brit player forgoes AEC how are they supposed to even begin to hold map while slowing down their tech when they construct it? Right now it is a really annoying unit that prevents infantry play, but if you are going to reduce its health so drastically it is going to need more to even be marginal. A single ISG will eat it up as it stands, and as you have it here the first shell would immediately force brace in all situations. The range of the Boffers ability makes it hard to use and you might consider a buff there. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Can we fix transports12 Feb 2016, 23:49 PM
1. It takes 3 seconds to disembark with USF crews, you just don't see it as an opponent. 2. The 251 pathing is terrible agreed. 3. Death from loss of the transport is to help balance the flame clown cars, and earlier the (shudder) sniper car. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: New British Helms Deep commanders11 Feb 2016, 14:59 PM
I wish Relic would address the problems with the core armies instead of patching over the weaknesses with more commanders. I agree with this 100%. Core armies should be addressed by balance changes. The Calliope commander is in-part popular because it helps cover all USF weakness, which apparently were a design element that can be circumvented if you buy new commanders. In: COH2 Balance |
