The Comet looks good- but the sherman firefly looks sick. anybody catch their prices? This reminds me of OF where there was always a pair of fireflies in the back..
The other armor to me are not mainline. |
question: do the British have mobile anti-tank guns that don't require fuel expenditure? |
The first run is going to be this ridiculously large book. Hopefully future runs will split them up in more manageable chunks (eg. a 3 tome series sounds good). |
The first print run of the new kursk book is open for reservations.
Estimated retail: $195 USD, 1700 pages long.

Kursk: The Battle of Prokhorovka is the first definitive account of the largest tank battle in history. This book is unique in that it draws upon in-depth research in both the German and Russian archival records. This was research that was begun in the 1990s, after the Soviet Union had fallen, when The Dupuy Institute was able to gain access to the Russian military archives. The book is built from the actual unit records from both sides, as opposed to the sometimes distorted narratives and legends that have grown up over the battle. It then compares and contrasts those records with the stories and interviews collected from veterans. It is an attempt to cover the entire range of fighting, from the strategic decisions, the operational art, to the tactics and the personal stories. It is a detailed description of the battle, a quantitative analysis of the battle and personal description of the battle as seen through the eyes of the participants. Over hundred German and Russian participants on both sides were interviewed exclusively for this book. It is a unique body of research that will not be replicated.
This is a large book. This is because the amount of unique material collected on the battle was unparalleled, first as part of a U.S. Army funded research project and then as an extended book project. The book includes 29 fold-out maps, 94 maps in the text, 41 charts, graphs and diagrams, 166 tables, 194 statistical sheets covering each engagement, 100 separate sidebars of discussion, 66 German and Soviet commander biographies, and four photo sections with 289 photos. They are drawn from both German and Soviet sources. |
the new faction looks so much like the old brits.
The infantry has no good AT, The AT guns are static, the AT strength is found in armor with the best in the tanks. In OF it was the Firefly. Now it's the comet/firefly. |
I've been tempted to upgrade but I haven't yet because I'm afraid of the bugs. I don't want to be microsoft's beta/alpha. Besides, I have no issues with the older windows. |
I have a lot of ebooks as well. I read them on PC. Personally I prefer the e-book because it makes referencing much easier and unlike books, I don't have to worry about brightness or eyestrain that much.
yes , to be honest i have 249 pdf books and none were bought , no kidding , there is a lot of free ebooks sites , btw the list i mention are the ones im reading now , because like i said i have an extended library and my father was an history professor ( and later a Principal for 15 years , god rest his soul ) , so i have quite a library on me .

A lot of e-books don't have to be bought- they are downloaded.
sadly, tomb of the PzWaffe has no e-book english option so far.
Most of the really detailed books have no e-book option either. |
Damn didn't even know it existed in english I just got the Russian version linked to myself while doing some other reading. Thats what I get for spending my salary clicking links on Google Books.
You are better with english?
I will probably be reading this book in Sept. If you finish before me, I'd like to hear about what you think of it.
Russian translated books are expensive retail- tomb of the Pzwaffe is $70 USD although online one can easily get it for $35. |
^^
Your second book is called "Tomb of the Panzerwaffe" in English. |
