Since gren do not cost the same as cons, neither riflemen nor inf squads. Since game balance is about assimetry and also by far because MG42 are the iconic unit of OST.
Why would cons cost 200? Why dont they cost the same as a gren squad or volks squad, because they are the iconic squad of SU. Im not even mentioning penals.
Its actual cost is great, it is performing fine, better than any other Mg, as it should, since its design is for it to be the BEST mg available. Vickers are snipers mg and everyone is fine with that.

If you really want good suppression for SU,USF,UKF then steal an mg42, its not that hard for any allied faction.

It's anti infantry is actually pretty good providing the tank is stationary which far too many people complain about without making sure it is stationary and the 2 mgs it has aren't bad either. I've also said (like @Lago) before that buffing the anti infantry of the comet whilst making it better doesn't make it more useable

To be fair, the Major Recon and Barrage are almost never used. The Major Recon is 50 munitions, and it's an extremely fast fly by. If you blink you miss it.

Buffing flamer is unneeded, its vanila and sweeper CEs that are trash.

so the stg obers are much better at nearly all.
The camo is ok but there hit just not hard enough to thread a big unit(only cons) And when the arty phase bginn in mid game one random katy shot and u get a 440 MP fuck.

What can they do what other can not do cheaper ?
And the doctrine is garbage... with the change of the Mg34 this doctrine becomes obsolete.

Tell me when its so versatile Elite Unit... why nobody plays them at all ? (GCS)
Rework the doctrine and make them Better. I dont need the cloak if my vet Obers shredd anything at longrange...
