But i do hope to see more armor bounces and status damages on dying hits. makes sense when you are down to last 2 shot of health, your engine gets damage. maybe something like this can combine with abandoned more playable If youve played the original coh before opposing fronts when we got marder/firefly king/jadt tiger all tanks had the same firing range. It was like a boxing match with multiple shermans/m10's and pershings with auto repair active during the fight vs 2 tigers with pre bought veterency and numerous grenadiers/storms with double shrecks, those were the golden days of coh days to me. There was also a 5% unkillable bug too where a tank could take 2-4 more penetrating hits on 5% health, o the rage! In: COH2 Gameplay

The fact that an SU85 took a shot from the Elephant and ended up with the roughly the same level of health as the ISU did... Did the elephant do percent damage or something?? Or were the ISU and SU85 really just that close in health? This is really boggling my mind at this point. It's like a fever dream where nothing makes sense. Im not sure I guess the balance team were trying out a lot of things early on so you saw wild swings in balance whereas now they make small changes comparatively, according to the changelog the elefants damage hasnt been more than 320 and isu's health lower than 960 but it clearly took more than 500 hp in that hit. Battle Phase 3 is cheaper than that. I'm not sure you even played UKF. UKF requires 30 + 115 + 50 = 195 fuels to build Comet. Without ANY upgrade or vehicle. Which is far from the realistic play in 1v1. OKW requires tech build cost of 190 to build Panther. WM requires 175 fuels, So accessing to the Panther is somewhat same or cheaper than accessing the Comet. I'm against any kind of nerf to the UKF because overall UKF is THE WORST faction to play in current meta. I used to play UKF as main faction, but I simply gave up the faction just like most of the tournament level players did. Mate you think stugs cost 75 fuel and because ostheer has an extra step of tech they have to build one building to get their p4 then tech and build another building to get a panther. All the other factions get their tanks/td's in one spot and with less base building/tech like the brits that press one button for company command post and another for hammer/anvil. There's no point arguing this with you anyways since you said you will defend any nerfs to the brits, because-reasons. Classic coh2 fanboiism In: COH2 Balance

OKW can counter with cheaper JP4, and while WM doesn't have expensive TD, can go for Panther to dominate AT or just stack up the cheap stug. It does come with (comparably) low pen, but it has very gigh Fire rate so its dps is pretty decent enough to counter Comet. Your not going to seriously suggest a panther wiping a at gun is a viable or realistic scenario, why even mention this ? Ostheer is weird in their tech that the panther is gated behind another layer of tech, I dont know why your so against a slight reduction in armour it would still have so much to offer.. Not really, it's like saying we should nerf Panther's armor so Sherman can pen more reliably instead of being forced into expensive TD(Jackson). They both are placed at last tier with expensive cost. They are designed to force enemy to build expensive counter. Well panthers armour was nerfed considerably, but nobody is complaining about panthers being too good against infantry/at guns & tanks as is with the comet. A more comparable example would be a heavy all rounder tank like the is2/tiger/pershing which have all had their armour nerfed and are usually slow and lack the utility(self spot/blitz/at gun nade/offensive smoke) the comet has the operate on their own(as well as being limited to 1) thats where it becomes overpowered. Also there is a theme in coh2 where the counter is generally cheaper than the unit its countering i.e heavy tanks costing 230ish fuel and td's costing 130-145 fuel but the supposed counter to the comet costs more than the unit its being bought to counter and leaves you severely lacking in anti infantry. The panther should dominate the comet otherwise, which could be implemented with a damage buff to 200 and a pen increase but that would probably screw up the panther vs everything else. Thread: Why Brits Armor13 Oct 2021, 04:27 AM The comet is too much of a swiss army knife with its blitz, nade, smoke/phosphorus, tank commander providing self spotting 45 sight, buffed mg and speed/manoeuvrability & vet2 panther armour. iT has literally no downsides and makes the cromwell redundant since it does everything it doe+PED's It should lose the tank commander so they cant operate on their own spotting paks and a slight armour nerf so stugs can pen more reliably instead of being forced into expensive panthers. In: COH2 Balance
