Since this is the game play section and majority of complaints at the moment is for large team games. I want to stress to everyone please please use mgs vs okw. I hate when I'm playing allies and everyone goes inf spam vs a heavy okw team and lose the attrition war. If you use some aggressive mg use they cant do much about it until the leig comes out and its not guaranteed to dislodge you. I've been on the receiving end of this too, it helps to hold and take ground. by the time stuka hits you should have other units out. By no means am i saying mg spam, Im saying use your advantage. |
I've given up! It is long time since i last cared about a RTS, but seriously this community. Relic shouldn't look to us for balance. It is clear that CoH got one of the most Biased player groups to either side. It is fucking sickining and i don't think anything can be done about it. As long as people keep deviding themselves up in only axis or allies players and refuse to try playing as the other side there won't be anything to gain. Ost has some problem so does okw so does every fucking faction but the way people often present it. makes it nonconstructive
good summary of the issue on here and on the official forums. There is about a 3:1 volk complaint to rifle complaint ratio. Truth be told both have the very similar issues.

You mean like how the MG42 instantly suppresses Allied Units in 1-2 seconds with no ability for a player to pull back before they are suppressed? Then before a nade or smoke can be popped they get pinned?
Of course this is somewhat different but the principle is somewhat the same. The Rear Echelon ability would of been balanced if Relic would of balanced it to only work on the unit selected and make it so the Rear Echelons be static unless the ability was cancelled.
I think you mean pinned in this case. You can still pop a smoke nade while suppressed. I haven't seen an mg42 pin in 1-2 seconds unless the squad comes around corner and gets caught really close to the mg.
Also doesnt RE volley only work on the selected unit already? |
Decision to make t34 a T4 unit was top insanity. But we are stupid if we think that they gonna change it.
Game is dead. they arent going to support it and players arent going to play it.

Nyyyyyyeeeeeerrrrrrgggggggghhhhhh, that's exactly what was kicking around in my head as a theorycraft to keep OKW's unique penalty while alleviating the issues with it - cause a penalty to fuel/munition income while vehicles or upgrades are on the field based on the pop/cost/whatever.
This would limit OKW's vehicle and upgrade counts while simultaneously not preventing replacements (though they would still be delayed over everyone else's), allowing more non-upgrade munition expenditures (of which the OKW's are hardly potentially more potent for their cost over everyone else's unlike vet 5 units) and of course, justifying vet 5 on units.
for this to work, okw fuel cost would have to go back down and the vet 4-5 on affected vehicles would need to go back up. |
i dont need to play them they are easy as fuck no micromanagement included. no challenge. a petty excuse for a cheap quick win i say.
so where were you last patch when axis was definitely on the mostly struggle end of the spectrum. With your insight and ability to play axis so flawlessly you could have been a huge help to the axis community and perhaps even changed the fate of the December patch. |

if remember rith i didnt lose any squad when i killed 2 kubels. After luchs came i had no chance to counter it. It was right to tap out when i saw luchs.
I was just overwhelmed by hordes of overbuffed infantry esp sturms who are terminators. They could stay for an hour under fire they doesnt care. And deny any advance while rest of numerous okw shit caps map.
I wont play allies until they nerf okw and red germs too.

Don't move around like a flee infested dog with ostwind and it'll rack up kills just as well.
mobility is key for survival. omly axis ai platform that is mobile and does good dmg is luchs. |
These Ideas are all nice but in reality we need to see what relic is going to do to OKW first. If most of the changes requested in this forum are implemented then OKW will just go back to pre-patch hopelessness.
Also if OKW are going to pay for the upgrades on the truck,, the upgrade needs to come with additional durability of the truck when purchased. Otherwise it will turn into a huge fuel sink if a truck is destroyed and replaced. |
What do you guys think of the buildable HQ trucks? I perfsonally find it makes the OKW far more flexible than it needs to be, and also removes a very large strategic hardpoint that made fighting as/ against OKW a critical part of playing the game.
Being able to now build HQ trucks at a rather fast rate and cheap cost takes away the huge strategic value these trucks had prior to the patch.
Before HQ trucks cost nothing, but you can only ever have one at a time and it takes, what 100-120 seconds after it is deployed/ destroyed before you get another one, regardless of your economy. This made them extremely valuable to protect and to take out because despite zero costs the impact is enormous.
Now all you need is 15 fuel and half the cost of Volks to quickly deploy, so OKW now has a very tenable option of blitz-teching, even if you stagger a volks/ kubel between every truck queue.
Destroying HQ trucks used to be a priority target that when destroyed was a big setback to the opponent because of the wait time...now all you need is another 15 fuel to get it back, and quickly.
