M-42 and DShK in same commander is pointless, they are both are kinda bad anti-infantry weapons and bad anti-light vehicle weapons, having both in same doctrine is reduntant. Not even going to point out that currently even maxim is better than DShK as suppession/AI damage weapon
Having fuel drop in same doctrine as recon and strafes/bombs is pointless you can never have that many munitions to utilize all of that.
Airdropped DPs are "why?" tier, why not utilize ZiS truck to drop them and PTRS, like UKF Special Weapons truck does
Assault Guards would need same buffs Shocks got and at very least Sprint ability, they dont have Shocks armor or damage output by the time they close the gap they would already need to retreat otherwise
The M-42 can be useful if it will only fire with sabot projectiles (for the paratroopers, this makes sense since they need maximum efficiency in the enemy's rear) and shoot quickly.
The reconnaissance aircraft and the bomb makes sense, I am now playing with one commander: guardsmen, reconnaissance aircraft, IL-2 bomb strike, ML-20 howitzer. Because in every match there is a howitzer spam, and you know teammates practically do not take the commander with recon and bombs and I am the only one who resists this spam.
I would like to discuss the commander Guards Airborne corp - there are a lot of slots that make minimal use:
- an ally supply drop is a useful ability, but I think it conflicts with the IL-2 because it spends ammunition.
- DShK possible option - an extremely bad variant, one overnerfed machine gun (no one uses it now) takes up a full slot.
- M-42 - would be an extremely bad option if only the gun is dropped, If this is an anti-tank group: a cannon plus a crew that can buy anti-tank weapons (ptrs or better bazooka as a stronger option for reinforcement of paratroopers), M-42 take the commander from the city battle or make a more anti-tank version: switches shells to sabot (as Sherman with 76 -mm cannon)?
Soviet commander with FMR has Rapid Conscription but no PPSh in doc, which means basically one wasted slot and it has ML-20 aka Dive Bomb bait which is pointless as its on tons of commanders and nobody ever uses it for obvious reasons.
If Conscription is replaced by PPShs and howitzer is replaced by some kind of smoke artry to cover infantry advance or tank retreat it might become viable (it will look basically like that doctrine Smartie(sp?) suggested somewhere)
Airborne commander looks like pure fluff/filler commanders like Partysans and Tank Hunters. Assault Guards are sick lelic joke in their current state and airdropped DP-28 would probably only useful thing in the doctrine but they have to compete with strafes and recons for munitions so you probably end up just spamming DP's on conscripts and not using other air support abilities in first place.
I do not agree, the paratroopers commander may be useful against the current German meta - howitzers spam (in almost all matches the Germans build 3-4 howitzers at the same time, and in some matches more), if this commander has recon, the bomb strike and the paratroopers can parachute into the fog war and throw а explosive charge it will be very useful. At the same time, the commander of the Deep Tactics - just food for howitzers.
OKW - Anti-Tank Tactics/ Panzerjäger doctrine
British - Lend Lead Assault Tactics
USF - Urban Assault Tactics
Wehrmacht - Counterattack Tactics
Soviet - Soviet Airborne (but the paratroopers need explosives for the destruction of howitzers, 400 grams of explosives, the standard equipment of any paratrooper during a parachute operation.)
customizable infantry skins, so every soldier looks different. also easier accessible camera for streamers e.g. so people not familiar with coh can get interested
I agree, I would replace almost all Soviet infantry skins except summer conscripts, summer shock troops and summer snipers, Maxim and the Guns crew the rest are completely inaccurate.
I have heard so much talk here about combined arms, but they continue to blob: this is a game built on a blob, it encourages blob and punishes general combined arms tactics especially in the early stages of the game. I personally hate blob and I think that 3-4 or more infantry units should receive a higher damage than 1-2 infantry units.
how about having a soviet commissar executing a whole conscript unit for a little veterency for the rest of the conscripts? It would be historic accurate.
Cons are awful, they just don't do any meaningful damage and with their 1.09 target size they aren't all that tough to begin with, and that makes them sub-par for merge/crewing weapons too.
Let's just move whatever utility Cons have to Combat Engis, and then remove Cons from the game.
There you go, CEs are fixed, cons are fixed, and no more multiple mainlines for Sov.
Remove the penal troops and distribute their abilities: give engineers explosive charge, give SVT-40 and PTRS to conscripts, SVT-40 and PTRS cannot be bought at the same time. Doctrine conscripts PTRS replaced by Bazooka
Or give the conscripts only SVT-40 and in T1 add: tank hunters, 4 people, AT min, camouflage
